Far From Heaven is that rare thing, a perfect film. Shot in a style that reflects its 1950s setting, the palette of colours, the lush Elmer Bernstein score - even the opening titles - form a perfect backdrop for flawless performances from Julianne Moore and Dennis Quaid as they challenge the relationship taboos of the time. An outstanding, heartwarming, heartbreaking drama.
