With a powerful set of pipes and some killer romantic ballads, Celine Dion is back in full force on this much-anticipated disc. The woman who previously hit it huge in the U.S. with 1991's "Beauty And The Beast" knows how to belt out a song, and then some. FALLING INTO YOU is full of lovely pop ballads, big production and soaring chord changes. Throw in some stadium-ready guitar parts, and it becomes definitive "power love" music. These combined elements help propel the grandiose "Because You Loved Me," among the biggest pure pop hits of early 1996. Dion also manages to achieve a certain level of soul, particularly on "Make You Happy," a slow, funky number with a catchy chorus. But "Declaration of Love" perhaps sums up the singer's style best: upbeat, up front, not quite rockin' but not wimpy either. She's a singer with a big, soaring soprano and a real knack for her chosen genre. Her fans won't be disappointed with this effort. I have actually just purchased two of these, one to give to a friend whose daughter has just died and one for myself. I had this on tape but not cd. They are very beautiful very meaningful songs. Report this review defiently a girlie cdI only had this on tape so decided when i saw it on ebay to upgrade it by bidding for the cd. It is defiently a girlie one and an old one but Celine Dion has a brilliant voice and as she is still touring now i cant be the only one saying it. The cd is good. I recommend it. Very happy. Only downside was that it took a little longer than i had anticipated to be delivered but that was no big deal as the seller was pleasant and honest in their commonication.
