FUJIFILM FinePix S1000fd Digital Camera

The Fuji FinePix S1000fd is a good sturdy camera, an ideal next step up for the advancing amateur, this camera would take you all the way up until entry level DSLR if that is what you are aiming to do with your photography skills.

If you are not looking to improve on your ability then this camera will see you through many years of general use; family pictures, birthdays, holidays etc.

It has 10 megapixels which produces excellent quality pictures, it’s very easy to use and is great to shoot in natural light. Physically it feels very good to hold and is the perfect shape and size for comfort.

The S1000fd has a 12X optical zoom that is equivalent to a 30-390mm focal range, which covers a large variety of photography aspects. The macro mode is an impressive feature with two modes (standard and super macro).

This camera also has some more striking and exciting features up its sleeve. The newly introduced ‘panoramic’ feature will take 3 shots and will merge them to create your panoramic photo. Ideal for capturing big groups of people or landscapes.

Then you have the usual features like face detection (fd), video capture, red-eye reduction, picture stabilisation anti-blur, pre-set scene modes and high speed shooting. I like the option to store pre-set scene modes onto the command dial for quicker access – a very nice touch.

Will take SD and XD memory card, and will also take the more common SDHC (high capacity) meaning you will probably never need to buy another card again.

To summarise; an affordable long zoom camera with face detection, panoramic function and an amazing macro function. I’m very impressed with this camera, its amazing what they can fit into such a small, stylish, light weighted camera.

LOVELY COMPACT LITTLE CAMERA. lOTS OF BUTTONS ON IT THAT I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH YET! SCREEN IS GOOD SIZE AND IMAGE QUALITY IS VERY GOOD. ATHE MANUAL DOES NOT EXPLAIN ALL OF THE FUNCTIONS UNFORTUNATELY BUT OVERALL I REALLY LIKE THE CAMERA AND AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE

I have not taken a bad picture with this camera id recommend to all,
the only downfall is it takes batterys would be great if i could charge it up at home.

Initial play around is good - like the zoom. Camera is quite small but it will be very transportable.

It has everything an amateur photographer needs. Simple to use but amazing pictures. Excellent value for money!

I've always been used to slr cameras and when I spotted this one I liked the look of it.It is smaller than my 35mm camera but it does more!Red eye removal within the camera is superb,as is the Intelligent Face Detection.All in all a fantastic camera.I have now made the transition to Digital Photography.

when i bought it i bought it has a graded product which i would have expected some slighly a miss this was bad covered in black spots all over the camera and it didnt even come with strap this is why they can sell so cheap has i had to buy the extras like strap lens cover etc it would of been cheaper going to my home town and buying one from a high street store when i asked then to have it back they told me i would have to pay for all post and packing charges which is unfair i sell on ebay and when some thing goes wrong with my products i pay for them to come back THIS IS BAD CUSTOMER SERVIES AND POOR PRODUCTS WOULD NOPT RECOMEND

I really really reccomend this camera to anyone that is interested in taking good quality pictures for holiday snaps/going out etc. I wouldnt reccomend for any professional photography obviously. I'm using it for A level photography and it's perfect for this due to the quality of the photos.

This camera can produce some really nice clear images that look wonderful yet some come out a little grainy. The camera is extrememly easy to use and i got to grips with the whole thing within 5 minutes. Theres no messing around with setting, it's all there, hit a few buttons and you can take pictures exactly as you intend.

The camera has a nice weight and feel to it, it makes taking pictures pleasurable. The camera looks really nice aswell, generally making the whole experience of taking pictures much nicer.The screen is huge and displays images clearly and crisply. This is a really nice feature of the camera and is brilliant when on a night out and want to show your mates the photos you've taken etc.

The camera is extrememly cheap for the quality of photography that you get out of it. It's definately a steal if you get it cheap on ebay. I would reccomend this 100%

its a prez for my daughter she wonted this one and its got enlish insrukshons if need then as we did but overall nice phone

The camera is extactly what my daughter needs for her college course and more besides.

The camera is able to take close up's of insects and flowers showing all details perfectly.

The camera itself looks professional and so my daughter cannot have chosen a better camera to progress in her studies.

Another reason for buying this particular camera was not not just the precise decription and look of the camera but reviews my daughter had had from other people but cost was also a factor.
