FUJIFILM FinePix F470 Digital Camera

An Excellent Camera at an Excellent price, Nice & compact, it will fit in almost any pocket or small bag. It takes very good quality, clear Pictures & can transfer the pictures to a Pc via Pictbridge, USB or the Micro SD Card for Printing. The Pictures can be edited on the Camera for printing at a printing Dock facility. The Camera also acts as a Video Camera with Sound (not all have sound). The Camere is easy to use with clear instructions & is good for beginers & experienced Photographers alike. All in all a very good feature packed Camera at a good price. I would purchase the Camera again & recommend it to everybody.

Easy to use camera, recommended for users who want a point and shot camera. It was bought for the wife who is not technically gifted and she has taken some very good pictures with it.

I have had an older version of this camera for about 4 years (Fuji F410) and have always been very pleased with it until it stopped working 1 week before I was going on my family holiday. I needed to replace it quickly and found the F470 model wich appeared to meet my requirements at one third of the cost of my old camera. It came with a tripod and 1GB memory card.
Likes :-
1. camera is small and light weight
2. 1GB memory card gives me more than adequate storage capacity
3. LCD is very large compared with my old F410 model
4. picture quality is very good
5. has video function
6. cost only £90 compared with over £300 paid for the F410 model 4 years ago.
Dislikes:-
1. unlike the F410 model this camera does not have a 'viewfinder'. This feature is particularly useful in very bright sunlight when the LCD display can be difficult to see.
2. battery has to be removed from the camera for charging. F410 model charger is plugged directly into camera.
3. does not have a desk docking station like the F410 for link with PC ( and charging ). F470 comes with a separate lead.

I had been looking for a digital camera for ages. I'd been watching the FinePix for about 3 weeks. I did a google search on it and the reviews I read were good.
The camera is just what I wanted. Big screen. Very good quality pictures. Easy to use. The best thing about it are the rechargeable batteries. A lot of the cameras I looked at had normal cell batteries which run down very quickly.
It's lightweight, compact and is great for someone who is not very technical. It's as easy as point and shoot. Would recommend it to anyone.

The main reason i purchased the fuji f470 was its ease of use and reliability,i purchased this model from a camera shop on ebay as a present for my wifes birthday to get her started in the digital age and away from the old film cameras.after a short read of the basic instructions she was using it after 5 minutes from taking it out of the box, i also like the large digital display screen on this model easy to see the subject you are taking. another reason i went for fuji is i have owned one myself for the last 5 years and found them to take an excellent photograph some of which i have had published in the local newspaper. This model that i got of ebay also came with a host of extras that you have to pay extra for in the high street shops. overall an excellent point and shoot camera and very compact.

Simple in design, lite but strong at the same time. Battery lasts for a long time, but this camera lacks long distance.
I bought this camera because of it's simple design, price and size. This camera can be taken anywhere, best used with a 1gb card..

Ichose this camera because fugi have a good name in cameras.and this camera is small and compact and reletivly easy to use...

This is a great wee camera very easy to use with a very good picture quality, the only thing I do not like is the full size viewer some time you cannot see picture image with the sun glare.

fuji f470 camera is a easy to use it is small you can fit it in your pocket.
but you have to go into the main menu for most of the fuctions ,
you also can use this camera as a camcorder if you buy a 2gb xd card you get
30 minutes of footage with sound , although the sound could be louder it
you can use it with ease .
The battery has to be taken out of the camera to be charged it would have
better if you could have charged while in the camera.
but good price easy to use would still buy this camera.

It was bought as a present for my wife as her existing digital camera had taken a bit of a battering over the past 8 years. The size of the camera means she could easily fit it in a small handbag or pocket. She loves the large screen though personally I would also like the option of a view finder to save battery usage.

I BOUGHT A FUJI S9600 LAST YEAR AND IT IS AMAZING BUT NOT GOOD IN A POCKET !! SO I GOT THIS LITTLE CAMERA TO REPLACE AN AILING F410 WHICH WAS MY FIRST DIGITAL CAMERA. I WAS WELL SUITED WITH THAT SO WHEN IT EXPIRED I LOOKED FOR A SIMILAR TYPE AND SPEC AND CAME UP WITH THE F470.IT HAS A REALLY GOOD DISPLAY WITH SUPER ZOOM . IT IS VERY EASY TO USE AND FITS ANY POCKET EVEN IN A CASE. THE PICTURES ARE SUPERB AND IT WAS THE RIGHT PRICE.I ALSO LIKE THE SOFTWARE WITH FUJI WHICH HAS GOOD EDITING FEATURES WHICH YOU DONT NEED A DEGREE IN PHYSICS TO WORK OUT !!IF I HAD TO BE CRITICAL ,THE BATTERY HAS TO BE REMOVED TO CHARGE BUT IT IS A FAST CHARGE AND LAST WELL.IN ALL IT IS A BELTING LITTLE CAMERA AND I AM GLAD I BOUGHT IT.

The Camera is perfect for taking qulaity snapshots wherever and whenever you want, a good battery life and very easy to use. its a simple great camera.

If you are in the market for a simple point and shoot camera that looks good, works well and will fit in a shirt pocket then you can't go wrong with this little beauty.
It produces great 6 MP photos which can be printed at A4 size and look brilliant. It is really easy to use and the battery lasts for ages.
There is nothing wrong with this camera it is one of the best P&S cameras I have ever used.

The F470 from Fuji is a solidly-built, pocket-size point-and-shoot zoom camera. If you see one going for about £40, grab it.(RRP in 2006 was £199, street price around £140) They use the Fuji/Olympus xd picture card, so if the card supplied is small capacity, buy a bigger one soon, while they are readily available.
1 Gig costs £6 to £8 on ebay, which I think is the max this camera can use.
The pictures are generally very good, and the basic AUTO setting covers most subjects without problems. With a decent photo printer you can get up to A4 size prints of good quality. There are plenty of menu options if you want to add a bit of human control, but if this is important to you, a different camera would probably suit you better.
There us a movie mode so you can shoot video with sound, although it is pretty limited compared to a real video camera.
When looking to buy, make sure at least the battery charger and preferably the instructions and software are included. The battery has to be removed from the camera for charging; not difficult, but less convenient than most others in this price range. You should comfortably get over 100 shots on a charge.
Personally, I would not buy a "spares-or-repair" digital camera of any sort unless you have a very good reason. The expense of a professional repair would probably push the final cost beyond that of a working example.
Overall, this Fuji is a competent, easy to use camera for holiday, party and family pictures.

This camera was bought on E-Bay for over a £100 less than I paid for my Fuji FuinePix F470 camera a couple of years ago from an internet store.

I bought this one for my wife as the Kodak digital docking camera I bought her a couple of years ago was very chunky and the batteries didn't last very long.

Whilst the Fuji camera purchased on e-bay didn't have any paperwork with it did come with additional memory XD card, CD, Battery charger and a spare battery. Paperwork no problem as I had it all from my camera.

She is over the moon with it as it is multi functioned and so simple to use. The F470 is a real kitten compact with a Lions Roar.

Recommended by a friend as it was a very good camera.
A fault was experienced but after informing the ebay seller contact was made (via the USA)and a replacement was sent.
Contact and customer service was EXCELLENT they even paid postage for the return of the original camera.

Very small compact camera, great quality pics and video quality is also very good and only limited by the size of the memory card

I bought this compact camera to take on holyday, this was a boys only golf trip
and I lost my digital slr camera on a previous trip i bought this camera so I could carry it in my pocket, it did the business cheers

i love this camera its a ideal size just to fit in your pocket but it dosnt lose any features it takes first rate pictures and the zoom is really good and if you buy from here i would highly recomend as the deleviry was so fast and the communication was first class

camera is in excellent condition. was missing charger and picture card as per description but have purchased both elsewhere and a spare battery - so for £70 have excellent camera combo.
