I needed to find a decent digital camera for my parents that had a high resolution but at the same time was easy and simple for them to use. This was their first digital camera so I didn't want anything too complicated. I was looking at the Fuji A700, and came across the A800 for near enough the same price. Upon receipt, it is of a nice weight, comfortable to hold, has an easy to use zoom feature, a nice big screen and overall it looks very stylish. There are multiple settings and features that can be used (sports, portrait etc.), but they just leave it on the standard setting and the quality of the images is very impressive. So much so I bought one for myself too. I have not had a problem with battery life. (I do recommend that you buy a either a High Speed SD card or xD card for this. There's nothing worse than taking a picture, facing the camera down to look at the results and to see a picture of the floor. It's also very useful when taking multiple shots).
I am the sort of person that always likes to get the latest gadget and keep upgrading equipment, but I am so pleased with this camera that I know I will be sticking with this camera for a long time!

This is my new,very nifty digital camera!It's nice and compact,and looks good!We bought it because we found our older camera to be pretty bad for 'eating' through the batteries.Fuji being a good name for photography generally,got our interest and to be honest,we are very pleased with it1The picture quality is really very good,as it has different modes for the lighting of the shot eg portrait,it ensures you get a gr8 shot every time!It has a great price tag also,we bought the camera and 1gb card for it for £101-not bad eh!I'm pretty much stupid when it comes to technical things so this really must be idiot proof to use1The instruction book is really easy to understand also-we're glad we bought it!

great camera! It takes nice pictures and has a big screen to see the pics!!! very easy to use and very light too, compared to all the other cameras I used!
I wanted my parents to have a camera, so I initially bought it for them, then, when I tried it I couldn't really let it go, so I'll keep this one and I'll give my parents my old one! I really recommend it!! I'm having lots of fun with it!!!

I purchased this camera because I wanted to replace it with the same make. On its arrival I opened and within 30 minutes was using the camera. Very straight forward to operate and the booklet was straightforward as well. There is nothing complicated about this camera and even downloading the sofware took no time at all. Results are excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this camera to beginner/intermediate photographers. I have not stopped using it since purchase. The final comment I will make is this camera gives excellent value for money. A great wee number. Hope this is helpful.

Compact and quite cheap to buy at the moment.

Only downside with these is the shutters sometimes play up.
Great with the printer dock, no more messing around in boots.
