FUJIFILM FinePix A607 Digital Camera

I needed a camera something that was small and compact but easy to use. A friend recommended that i get a Fuji FinePix as they are the best cameras. So that is what i did and i am so chuffed to be the owner of one. It is small and compact and takes amazing photographs. It is so easy to use. I do recommend any one wanting one to give it go, you won't be disappointed.

I bought this camera as a first digital camera and it has never let me down. Takes excellent pictures and is a great first camera for the novice. Very easy to use. The only downside is that there is no sound on the video, but this is not a major point. Its a great little point and shoot and has good zoom. Having cut my teeth on this camera, I have now upgraded to a more advanced specialised camera. The novice wont be disappointed.

I wanted a digital camera to replace an old Fuji 205s that I had used for several years.I paid around £100 for that when it was a fairly new release.
This A607 compact camera is a reasonable size & is more compact than the 205s. (There are even smaller models around but this one suits me fine.)
It starts up & is ready for use far quicker than my old 205s and has some optical zoom which is always far better than digital.
I use mine for photographic surveys & progress pictures for building work.
There is a handy time & date 'stamp' that can be useful in my line of work.
It will never be a tool for use on anything too technical & I have found the macro function seems inferior to my old 205s.
This surprised me but I don't actually use this function very often.
For my usual day to day requirements it is simple to use. With an xD memory card I can download images easily to my PC for e-mailing or storage & for the price I paid it is terrific value. ( Under £30 )
To summarise this is a simple to use, fairly quick starting, basic digital camera.
The flash does sometimes seem to take a long while to 'recharge' but otherwise it is OK.
An ideal camera I would say for first time digital users or maybe those who are easily confused by complex menus & gadgets.
It is almost a 'point & shoot' camera but does have some zoom capability. There is a movie function but I don't use this.
I expect you will require a sizeable memory card to store movie recordings.
Battery usage seems OK to me if you use the correct type.
(It is no use using normal zinc carbon batteries for digital cameras.)
The movie function may be more battery 'hungry' but as I don't use it I cannot say.
You can probably do most of what this camera does with your mobile 'phone these days but I still prefer a compact camera.

i bought this camera for my sister for her birthday it was a fantastic buy and she is loving taking photos of her nephews an all round bargain and great bit of equipment x

perfect pocket sized,very easy to master and takes very sharp and well balanced pictures,straight forward functions,good optical zoom,simple to upload pics onto computer or printer, not so good on red eye when using zoom,a real go any where camera at dirt cheap prices on e-bay,pic quality is about 95% of my fuji s5600,if you get the chance at one take it, dislikes i have 2, red eye on zoom end,and picture time lag,apart from that it is excellent,uses the very perfect xd card 256mb good all rounder.

I needed a digital camera. Having used my Olympus Trip for many years, I was uncertain what to buy, I needed something that was easy to use, had good picture quality and would be easy to connect to my laptop. I watched ebay auctions for a while and saw what people were buying. I had a limited budget. Finally I decided to take a leap of faith and purchased my first digital camera. This little Fuji Fine Pix A607 is just perfect for me. It takes superb pictures at all distances and is so easy to use.
I highly recommend this camera to new digital users, if anyone would like me to send them pictures that I have taken with it, I would be happy to do so.
From close up's of flowers, to landscapes, it is excellent.
The old Olympus will never be resurrected again.

I just wanted a cheap digital camera to take pictures of things i need to sell here on ebay. This camera does the job, only problem its a bit heavy, but for this price who cares.
