The last time I saw this cup final it was live and for me in b/w, 44 years ago. At the time it was the biggest upset for decades, lowly 2nd division Sunderland conquering the mighty Leeds under the legendary Billy Bremner. To sit and watch an excellent colour transfer was my biggest event of the year, especially as it was pretty much as seen, all those years ago. So yes, a fine image, brilliant sound and incidentally, commentary by the great, late Brian Moore. Top marks from this viewer.

) a fantastic bit of history for all sunderland fans,young & old.my husband was actually there!!!! yes he's that old.......we have watched & watched this,the same excitement is still there,even though you know the result.my kids really enjoyed it & they are not black cat fans!!!!!! it's always good to see the under dog win...will probably never happen again in sunderlands history.well worth a watch.the difference in the way football was played in the 70's compared to now is unbelieveable.this is football.....no prima donnas,no million pound players....just pure football.absoloutly brilliant.

FantasticI wasn't expecting to much from this dvd but wow it delivered and more. It was great to see the whole match again and to see the interviews at the start. Considering tv was not digital etc as it is now the quality of the footage again was better than expaected.
All in all a great watch. So get ya mates round open a few beers and enjoy, you wont be disapointed.

I was a Sunderland supporter at the timeand missed the final on TV in 1973 as I was stuck on a ship in the Channel and we couldn't get a TV picture.
This brings back memories and is a brilliant copy, well worth the money--so much so, I have bought more than 1 to give to friends/relatives

This match sums up what football is all about. The underdog, given absolutely no chance by the so-called experts, beat the team full of internationals. Sunderland got their tactics spot on and could have even had one or two more goals.
Of course, this match is famous for proabably the second greatest save ever (1st - our Gordon vs Pele, 1970) and there are plenty of replays of this. Although I've known the result of this match for the last 30 years, I was still screaming at the ref to blow the whistle.
It's one of the cheapest Cup Finals on Ebay - go on, treat yourself!
