This is a very enjoyable family film. The film moves on from the manic character and story in "Bruce Almighty". Evan does not become "Almighty" but instead is a figure of fun for building an Ark. The film's central theme is "faith". It gently poses questions over who or what deserves our trust and faith. Morgan Freeman is again superb as God, it's the pace at which he speaks that makes him so good.
I rate this film 9/10

The sequil to BRUCE ALMIGHTY, i didnt think it was as funny as the 1st film but still enjoyable for all to watch. Steve carell not as funny as in Bruce almighty.If you are a animal lover you will love this film, the animals are so well trained!!

If you love Steve Carell then you'll love this film.
It is good but not as good as Bruce Almighty.
You can see why it cost millions of Dollars to make with the Arks they built and the animals they had to train, as well as Steve Carell's make-up.
Some humour, some slapstick, some enviroment issues.
There are loads of extras on the DVD.
But it's more for kids than adults!

THIS FILM HAS BEEN WELL CAST. THE STORY IS VERY CLEVER AND HILLARIOUS FROM START TO FINISH. I RECOMMEND THIS FILM TO ANYONE WHO HAS A SENSE OF HUMOUR!!

Bit American in places (strangely being an American film).
Could do with less of a mushy ending but generally a great film for light entertainment the whole family can enjoy.

I saw this film as soon as it was released and liked it very much, having seen it several times on SKY recently i realised what a gem of a film it really is.
The film is suitable for an audience of all ages and for me surpasses its predecessor (Bruce Almighty) by quite some way, mainly because of the likeability of its star, Steve Carrell (who was criminally underused in the first).
Witty, funny & sweet with an underlying message about faith & family. A must see!

Fantastic movie for the whole family,with a biblical twist.A lessons of right and wrong in this ever increasing greedy world, where profit comes before anything.As well there are of lots of funny moments throughout the film.Well recommended.

This is a great film, I had not seen it at the cinema and so I was worried that it would not be that good as I had heard mixed reviews. How ever it really is a great film, I love comedy films and this is definitely one of the better ones. It is just as good as Bruce Almighty if not more funny.

This is a great comedy sequal to Bruce Almighty! Morgan Freeman playing the role of 'God'.
Evan Baxter, US Congressman, is asked by 'God' to complete the task from the Bible - Genesis 6.14. 'To Build an Ark'. Baxter thinks its nonsense but all too soon he is being followed by animals coming two by two. He decides to build to ark for the flood! On September 22nd, the flood is iminent, a little rain, where is the flood 'God' promised? Will it happen??

I loved the film entirely, it was so funny and a great sequel to Bruce Almighty.
Really hilarious film and worth a watch with a bag of popcorn.
Steve Carrell is a superb actor and plays the part fantastically well

the second movie, liked it to, although not a good as first, was still funny, it was cheap, so i bidded and bought it.

A VERY GOOD FILM WITH FUNNY PARTS IN JUST LIKE BRUCE ALMIGHTY BUT NOT QUITE AS FUNNY, STILL A GOOD FILM AND HIGHLY WATCHABLE ALL ROUND FAMILY FILM.

i decided to buy this film as my sister had seen it at school and said how good it was. i went onto e-bay and found it at an excellent price so i ordered it. it came the next day and i watched it that evening. iv gotta say its a brill film it made me laugh alot and i thought the story was nice, a great part is when everyone is dancing at the end. it gets 10 out of 10 from me and i would recommend to anyone.

really not as good as i thought it would be. story line runs on alot and is quite boring. won't be watching it again.

i have seen evan almighty before buying the dvd, but didnt have it, now i can have endless hours of laughs, the film is really funny and cheers you up.

i decided to buy it because i thought the price was reasonable, even though i found the dvd elsewhere cheaper this does not bother me,

My daughter loved this film because of all the animals... Its not as good as the first one but its ok. and it kept my 5year old quiet for a while!!!lol

i like all films like this! i thought the setting was lovely. the camera work again was excellent! nice film for all the family!

Just like Bruce Almighty this film is enjoyable and funny in places. Nice pleasant easy viewing film and kids loved it.

Evan Almighty is the sequel to Bruce Almighty (2003). In that film Evan Baxter was a coworker of Bruce and more or less a rival wanting the same promotion. In this part Bruce (played by Jim Carrey) is left out and Evan is left to carry the torch instead. The story carries on without a hitch. Evan has been promoted, has left the news presentation business and has moved to another area with his family. Little does he know that God has a task for him.

So far the only link between the two films is the appearance of two actors ad their respective roles. Strange enough this is more or less the only real linkup between the two. The two films are very different. Where BA was more or less the story of an angry man getting the power and using them for his own good EA is the story of a man getting the power and doing what he is asked. Both lean toward the comical track though.

Personally I found BA a fair bit better than EA. Although there are some good laughs in this one there are too many spots where there is nothing to laugh about and the speed just leaves the film altogether. The added moral story isn't one that was needed either - it just adds a cliché that doesn't have anything to offer except just being there and that's a shame.

All in all, 5 out of 10 dancing Gods

Based on a modern take on the story of Noah's Ark this is a good family film with humour to appeal to all ages!
