Eva Cassidy - No Boundaries (CD 2001)

For any one who has not heard of Eva Cassidy then this is a Must, it is one of the most easy listening cd's that I have ever bought and if like me you are fed up of buying cd's that repeat songs from other cd's by the same artist then this is definatly for you.

I have only recently come across this cd and am thrilled with it, I dare say that my husband is going to get cross with me as I will be playing it a lot......

Eva Cassidy has a voice like an angel and if you like easy listening combined with the blues then you are going to really enjoy this. There are 11 songs in all and a couple that are repeated( I know what I just said earlier) but before you stop reading, these songs put a different variation on them so it is not repetitive.

Her voice has been likened to Judy Collins, Arethra Franklin and Diana Krall and if you have ever heard any of these women sing then you have to admit thats pretty impressive to say the least.

What you are witnessing is a result of Eva's pure approach to music and as she loved it for herself and not just for others, singing for others was just a bonus.

Eva Cassidy could stop a crowd dead in it's tracks. Eva sang in night clubs that were a bit rowdy but as soon as Eva started to sing the whole place would go silent in recognition of a major talent.

Eva's subtle, but striking, interpretations of other artists recordings were said to be more than just imaginative. On first listening to her you could be mistaken in your thought that she was black, so soulful was her way with a tune that she could sing not only Jazz, through the ranges to Pop.

If you listen to any other of Eva Cassidy's cd's then believe me, you will sure go out and buy all her recordings as they are TRULY ADDICTIVE.

Eva Cassidy 1963 - 1996

Excellent CD to add to what I thought was a complete collection even a few tracks that I hadn't heard before. Eva Cassidy has for me the most raw,emotional voice and is able to pull off so many different styles of song and somehow makes each one uniquely her own.

Eva Cassidy in my opinion, a successful singer and outstanding performer.
she was a talent in performing jazz and folk songs. I like (inter alia) folk song and personally, I like her sweet and mellow voice. Most of her alblum (CDs) issued by the record company are in very good quality in its recording, I think it was caused by the high skill of the engineering and mastering. In my opinion, her records should be listed as "audiophile CD". As one of the audiophile, I highly recommend the buying of Eva Cassidy's CD for listening and for collection.
