Erasure - The Innocents (CD 1988)

I bought this cd as i have seen the band in concert a few times over the years, i needed to update my cd collection and this was always my favourite erasure cd.. Still many years on it still dont dissapoint.

Wow!!! Vince and Andy have done it again, electro pop meets a biblical pantomime, with a bit of Tina Turner. Erasure never fail to please, the diversity of sound and style in this album is fantastic.
Still early in Erasures career the sound is now maturing with up beat melodies of technical synth such as "Phantom Bride" to the waltz style of "Witch In A Ditch", the album is a real show piece. Vince even has a solo track alone with the keyboard for "65 Thousand" and who can forget the greats " A Little Respect", "Ship Of Fools" and "Chains Of Love". If any body has seen the DVD Erasure Live AT The Beach this covers the Innocents project. Great lyrics, fantastic energy and Andy's cover of Tina Turner's " River Deep Mountain High"
A mixture of fast and slow tunes that sound as great now as they did back then.
I do not have anything negative to say about this album, once again a great listen and a must for any fan of Erasure.

I am an Erasure fan and was surprised at the great condition this CD is in considering its age will definetly use this ebay shop again and would recommend it 10 out of 10 to anyone else

If you enjoy 80's pop, then this is a must for your music collection. Im an erasure fan but would recomend this to anyone.
It will put a smile on your face when you realise you remember every word to every song.

I brought this as I used to listen to this when I was at school. I only had it on cassette, and unfortunately, I now have nothing at home to play cassettes on, so I decided to buy this so that I could play it in the car and put it on to my ipod. Brings back some great memories!

I decided to buy this CD as i love erasure and i love there music so it was worth it the music is just breath taking i could listen to this all day.

What else can I say other than a fantastic album featuring probably their most popular single "A Little Respect". I already have this album on CD which I managed to get signed by Vince and Andy at a recent concert. Because this has made the CD priceless to me I wanted another one for everyday use. I know sad aren't I?!

Erasure, an amazing combination of two great musical talents and a real trip down memory lane, there is not a bad track on the whole CD, a very worthwhile purchase, and a wonderful addition to my collection, this is one happy customer!

LOVE THE MUSIC, I HAVE IT ON TAPE AND VIDEO. AT SOME POINT I LOST THE CD BUT NOW I HAVE BOUGHT IT AGAIN IT'S GOING STRAIGHT ONTO MY IPOD!!
