Eminem - The Slim Shady LP (Parental Advisory) [PA] (CD 1999)

The Slim Shady LP, is a fantastic album by Eminem. Its his second album, although it's his first album to be widely acknowladged. The album has clever rhymes and good beats, several world wide hits, and a variation on music throught the album.

There's nothing else like it, its well worth its money!!

i originally purchased the slim shadey lp in k.l whilst back packing and lost it in oz so having it again has brought back some relly good memories.

the slim shady LP, a look in to the dark, twisted world of eminem, this was his debut, he was broke angry, and ready to take on the world, and let me tell you this album is nothing short of brilliant, eminem proves himself as an incredible lyricist, with an amazing delivery great voice, he is brutally honest and raps about a range of subject matters, such as the struggles of being broke, hilarious storytelling songs, killing his girlfriend, vicous battle rap songs, dissing everyone from his mum to vanilla ice, in fact, the majority of the songs on this album are hilarious battle rap songs, which doesnt really matter because eminem comes up with punchlines, jokes, and multis galore, this album is mainly produced by underground producers(apart from 2 songs produced by dr dre), and the beats are amazing, theye are not heavy or commercialized but still easy on the ear, and its obvious the producers took alot of time trying to get the mood of the production to fit the songs this is the second best of eminems 3 amazing albums(encore was garbage) i would highly recommend this, if you want to hear some amazing lyricism, brutal honesty, or amazing battle rap skills, peace

I brought this cd for someones birthday, and they loved it. this cd has most of eminems origional early songs, this was a great purchase!!!!

A good album that shows how talented eminem is..and how far he would go..in which he has!! Recomend people buy it..a bit different to his music now!

This CD was among one of the first albums I brought. I think it's wicked. It has real emotion. I think that people are stupid if they think that music makes you do aggressive things, I like the way he gets his feeling across, it's intense and makes you listen.

Eminem's first commerical sucess, the result of his alter-ego rants at life as a 90s man in his 20s with a notebook full of rhymes and young child to support, and a chance meeting with the ailing DR Dre.

With insight rare in hip-hop since the days of NWA and other founding fathers of the genre, Eminem takes the listener on a journey through his life, from a trailer in Detroit to dead-end jobs, from going to clubs to the startings of fame.

The best songs on this album seemed to be drown in controversy on release, but songs such as 'If I Had', 'Role Model' and 97' Bonnie & Clyde are classics among Em's real fans, and are well worth a listen whenever the chips are down.

The album as a whole has a nice feel, never getting too melancholy thanks to some great up-beat sounds. It really is a cd for all occasions, often laugh-out-loud funny as well as heart-wrenchingly tragic.

A must for everyone.

this is why i decided to buy this item: i brought this as a christmas present for my husband as he is a big fan of this artist.

i actually bought this as an art project exploring the cultural side of chavs and scallies, looking at all you scumbags who love this complete tripe, i listened to the album and am not impressed, its just far too aggressive to appreciate as music, as a story its a rather tragic tale but the man is a moron, buy it for a laugh

this is one of the best he has ever done, i would not recommend you let Young kids listen to it . don't be fooled by the copy cats ,there is only 1 eminem.but it wouldn't go down to well st the church social

This is a must have for any eminem fan. This was the best album he ever made. If your in to the fabricated pop he is in to now then i'm not to sure this is your thing. If you like eminems cruder songs then buy this album.

i do like eminem he talks about what he's been through and how its been for people like him, it sounds a bit like some of his other cd's but the words are different.

I had a copy of this CD when it first came out, but unintentionally bought the censored version so put it in the microwave, big mistake. I have finally got it again, and its great!!!
