Elton John - The Very Best Of Elton John (CD 1990)

I bought this album on CD as I used to have it on casette and was reminded of it while clearing out my loft (I found the old casette). I think this ablbum is the best of Elton Johns work as I much prefer the older songs and my all time favourite has to be Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. CD one is the better of the CD's although CD two is still very good. This is one of those CD's that I can play again and again and not get bored of it.

Brilliant album every party collection should have a copy. Bought this as my old fashioned tape version could not be played in the car and boy is this a good album for long journeys! Can say nothing negative about it.

This album was the best album i owned back in 1990, i had it on cassette and lost it so there for i had to get it again on cd. Definately a must buy for anyone who's an Elton John fan.

Nearly every Elton song you could possible want is on this excellent CD. From a personal pov the only one missing is 'Healing Hands' - the b side of Sacrifice. IMO Healing Hands should have been the a side, or released on its own - Elton at his bombastic best!

I have been a lifelong lover of his music and my last copy of the Cd was damaged.

After buying Elton John's Love Songs, I just had to buy more. I think I have become a keen collector. Again this never let me down. It is full to the brim of his best hits, there are more I would put on, but there just was'nt the space. 10/10

This 2 disc best of was released back in 1990 and covers all of Elton's best hits including 'Your Song','Candle in the wind','Daniel','I guess that's why they call it the blues','I'm still standing' and many many more.
Elton's early work is his finest and this cd provides them all from 'Your song' released in 1969 right up to 1990's 'You gotta love someone'.
Out of all the Eton John/Bernie Taupin compilations available this is the best out there.

Having been a fan of Elton for more years than I care to remember, the chance of getting most of his biggest selling songs on a two CD set was a real result.

Normally, I prefer vinyl, and I own most of Elton's vinyl albums, but having recently bought a professional DJ CD unit (also from eBay), I have been bringing my CD collection up to date also.

The songs included in this compilation album include many of his earlier hits like "Benny and the Jets" and "Song for Guy", along with the ever popular "Saturday nights alright for fighting", (not one of my EJ "personal favourites", but it does seem popular at parties and other venues.)

I was glad of the opportunity to purchase Elton Johns Greatest cd. I already had it on tape, but finding any singular song became almost frustrating. So I went for the cd. Now I can find any singular song without bother. And the best thing about the cd is it has, to that particular time it was released, all his greatest songs.

why do all the big sellers never get back to emails .this seller sould be removed from ebay paid for my cd and it never come sent number of emails and never got back to me so i left neg feed back as soon as i done this i got aload of abuse off this seller and yet still never got my cd .if you do by off this seller and your item dose not come you will not get any joy off him but bad remarks and abuse.buy off the small sellers i find there the only sellers that keep to the deal and mail you back.

This is the master rocker at his very best.
Bought this album as an LP when first published.
Will never forget one track in particular as I requested for it to be played
for my wife while serving in northern ireland.
The track was and is Song for guy We wore out the vinyl now we have
it on cd. See how long this lasts.

Had the album on tape it is great had to get it on CD. Such a variety of music, brilliantly performed. I would recommend it for anyone who likes Elton John.

What to dislike? Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is pretty much the very best collection from Elton John that you could buy.For me it is the earlier tracks that stand out as so many of them could rightly be called classics.'Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me'(NOT the George Michael version!!),'Rocket Man','Someone Saved My Life Tonight','Your Song',all classic tracks with a lot more besides.
I'm not too keen on Elton's later stuff but all in all this is an excellent compilation from a very talented artist.

went on holiday this year ,were we stayed had this on video liked all the songs on it and wanted to aquire it on cd,got it from e/bay and also aquired it as well on video also from e/bay, good list of tracks, elton john at his best i think.

Well, how can you possibly write a review about Elton John's early greatest hits? Quite simply one of the best song writers and performers the world has ever seen with a collection of his best work. Enough said.

bought it because elton was missing from my cd collection and wanted it for my car as i was going on holiday. love the album and got it for a bargain! one song is jumpy and sticky but that didn't change my opinion of the seller. i"m happy with my purchase thats all that matters
