A more enjoyable selection of his past hits, and so well compiled, especially for those, who are less familiar with his musical ability.
This is a more commercial listing of his major hits, and certainly one, that can be enjoyed by all ages.
A great Greatest hits Cd, and one i am so glad to now add to my vast and varried collection.

All round entertainer whos lasted for a very long time.Very good solo singer with songs that everyone recognises instantly.Great album.

I have to say that I bought this mainly for the old stuff, which is still as fresh and lively and also soul-baring and touching as it was, way back when. I'm sorry to say that I'm not a fan of the Eighties and Nineties stuff. (Much like the works of the Stevie Wonder.)The good thing about it is that the old stuff is contained on the 1st CD, which is great for driving and avoiding 'I'm Still Standing', 'Kiss the Bride', 'Passenger', etc. AWFUL!)

Thankfully, the likes of 'Your Song' has to be one of the best tracks out there for expressing how you feel when you meet that special person. 'Bennie & the Jets', 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road', 'Rocket Man', 'Daniel', etc. etc. are the REAL Elton John. Fabulous stuff.

THIS ALBUM HAS A VERY GOOD MIX OF ELTON JOHNS BEST TRACKS FROM THROUGHOUT HIS LONG CAREER. I NEVER REALLY LIKED HIS STUFF TILL I HEARD THIS ALBUM AND REALISED HOW MANY GREAT HITS HE HAS. I WOULD SAY THAT THIS WITHOUT LISTENING TO ALL HIS MUSIC GIVES A GREAT VARIETY OF HI MUSIC ALL ON ONE ALBUM.

Great album & a must if you want to complete his works.

Sorry but when one buys a Cd or record you should be able to see what is on the label i was looking for a specific track but was not able to find it

Excellent CD with all the classics on. Had to buy it after seeing him in concert for the first time with 27,000 others, what a performer, what a show, CD brings it all back.

Fabulous CD with all Elton's best songs on. I bought this for my husband as he damahed his LP. He loves it, plays it in the car all the time. Great to sing along to and a bargain. It was a lot cheaper than in the shops.

Love Elton John's music. My daughter already had this cd and my husband heard it and wanted so I bought it for him.

I love Eltons music, each song is so different & sung from the heart. Not too keen on the more recent stuff. Not a fan of him personally. But i cant fault him on his talents & beautiful ballards. This is a great CD if you just want one Elton CD for your collection. Great site too.

If you like Elton John this is probably the most comprehensive CD you will buy as it contains most of the favourites but it is not everyones cup of tea.

Reviewing music is always difficult - one either likes the style, is indifferent to it,or abhors it. As a trained Classical musician and musicologist, the music of Elton John has always appealed to me. Elton is, obviously, an accomplished pianist, and a lyrical vocalist possessed of his own inimicable style. He is not exactly Bach, or Buxtehude, or Stockhausen, but Elton's talent coalesces around his ability to put good, and often complex music around his heartfelt lyrics.

This album contains a good cross-section of Elton John's considerable oeuvre. It is well recorded, responds well on my hi-fi, and is devoid of hype. But, then, so is Elton. Elton John's music is honest, is not derivitative and does not suck up to any passing trend or notion. To be as honest as Elton John, especially in the world of 'pop', is indicative of his worth as both a musician and as a person. It is the music of integrity, and this album represents this quality in an admirable fashion.
