Elvis Easy Come, Easy Go
Review created: 20/10/08(updated 25/02/09)
Easy Come Easy Go is an early film starring Elvis. It has a beginning, middle and end without the over gloss of his later films. The plot is simple and shows the 'hippy' influence at the start of the 1960s. All the family can watch as it is light hearted. Not many songs, however, they are not the really well known ones and this adds to the pleasure of watching the film. There is some delightful under water photography. The scenery is full of blue skies, pretty landscape/seascapes and 1950s Amercian town. There is a nice open-top red car too. The negative aspect is the well stated moral of money cannot buy love/happiness and honesty is the best policy. A rather dated method of sugar coating the reality of the time. Still its a nice film that can be watched a number of times without taxing the brain.
