Valerie thinks her life can't get worse when she catches her fiance with another girl: then an alien spaceship crashes into her swimming pool. Cue wacky comedy and a few songs. Silly but often chuckleworthy movie. It's fun to see Jim Carrey, Geena Davis and Jeff Goldblum in early roles.

) I bought this for my wife because it reminded her of her mis-spent youth. One of most interesting things for my was to see so many famous faces, before they made it big. (Jim Carey and Damon Wayans were two of the aliens). Overall it was quite a fun film but one that meant far more to my wife because of the memories it envoked.

A fantastic and tacky film I love it. Very old school. Starring the likes of Gina Davis, Jeff Goldbloom, Jim Carey and Damon Wayans in the Urly days of their careers 1989 this film is a definate watch it may not be the best film in the world but it will make you laugh.

Hilarious Comedy With Early Appearance Of Jim Carrey...Review created: 18/11/06

Story: Three furry aliens (Jeff Goldblum, Jim Carrey, and Damon Wayans) crash land their ship into a swimming pool belonging to a valley girl nursing a broken heart. After a makeover, the trio emerge as hunks and set out for one wild night on the town with Earth girls. Julie Brown wrote the musical score that features "'Cuz I'm a Blonde."

Great Humor, Jeff Goldblum plays the lead actor here, but what i find personally more interesting is Jim Carrey's early appearance here.
In this movie he's still in his 20's as it seems, about a decade or so before he hits the big bucks with '' Ace Ventura ''.
When you pay specific attention to this actor, you see that he's a excellent actor & really gets into his act.
He's still got a few things to learn & you can quite see that Jeff Goldblum is at that point a better actor then Jim, but they are 2 different kinds of actors, Jim is more off a comedy actor & Jeff is more serious & all.
The Movie on itself is quite good, good comedy, alot off laughs, & Geena Davis Plays a good part as lead actrice as well.
There's quite alot off music in this movie, it's a mix between a musical & a comedy really, with quite good music typical to the 1980's.
A must have for your collection. Especially when your interested in Jim Carrey.
A++++++++++++++++++++++++
