Perhaps the best Eagles album ever!

When the popular band the Eagles reunited back in 1994 to record some new songs for the album "Hell Freezes Over", these were intermixed with live versions of older songs. In 2003, they recorded another new song called "Hole In The World" for the 2-CD release "The Very Best Of The Eagles", which spanned their entire career. Finally, in 2007, the group went one step further, and released an entire album of new material as a double-disc set containing 20 songs. Initially sold only at Wal-Mart stores, "Long Road Out Of Eden" is full of superb musical moments from band members Joe Walsh, Don Henley, Glenn Frey and Timothy Schmidt. Hearing these songs makes us all grateful that the Eagles decided to give us a new album that is worth listening to and can be fully appreciated. Nearly six years in production, it was their first full studio album since 1979's "The Long Run". The overall scope and magnitude of the variety and quality of the songs on this album in very similar to the scope and variety of The Beatles' 1968 classic LP, "The White Album". The lead-off single, "How Long", captures the flavor and feel of vintage Eagles music without being too nostalgic. The album's magnum opus is the title track, which clocks in at over 10 minutes. This deluxe edition also features 2 bonus selections; "Hole In The World", which was previously issued in the 2003 "Very Best Of" CD release, and the 1978 recording of "Please Come Home For Christmas", issued only as a single. "Long Road Out Of Eden" stands as perhaps the Eagles' best album ever.
