I bought this cd because I love Josh Homme and Queens of the Stone Age. I had been YOUTUBING this band and realised they have a massive sense of humour - Jack Black, Dave Grohl and Josh Homme - appearing in the funny vids. These boys obviously hang around together and have a lot of laughs.
The lyrics are funny, the tunes are ace. When the album arrived I played it back to back 3 times, ive got the lyrics covered and Im rocking around the house. Being a massive fan of the Foo Fighters and QOTSA, this was the next step to my collection and no regrets! Buy it, it'll being a smile to your face.

the Eagles of Death Metal.. sounds loud and messy, ok they are loudish but not the head banging racket that the name suggesrs, the EODM are buddies of Queens of the Stone Age who in turn are buddies of the Foo Fighters they interchange members now and again so a good read of the credits list on the cds are interesting, anyway.. try and find this cd in HMV, no chance, a few clicks on E BAY all done, couldnt be easier. The cd and the music within ? excellant, rock and roll with a sense of humour, good guys not trying or thinking they can change world, they enjoy themselves and it comes through in big lumps in the tunes, try it out, whats the alternative ? coldplay, elbow, snowpatrol yawn !

Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes.

expertly played songs with catchy melodies, mixed with hard self confident rock. decided to buy upon hearing it at a work, and with much high praise from my friends, also the bands drummer is the legend that is josh homme of equally legendary queens of the stoneage. i can't think of what i didn't like about it honestly it's that good, just remember when you go to listen to this album expect fun light hearted rock, which is at the same time the essence of rock, do not however expect q.o.t.s.a.
