We bought this to replace an upright. Cylinders with a powered head are supposed to be best and this has not disappointed.

The whole thing is light and easy to use. It is much quieter than our previous cleaner. It does take a little extra space to store: it has a bigger footprint.

I bought this Dyson as a gift for my niece as the cleaner that she had (cant remember it's make) wouldn't pick up fresh air.
I myself purchased a Dyson hoover about 5 years ago and it's still as good today with suction power as it was when I bought it. Another good point is that if you require any spare parts you can simply go on to the Dyson website and purchase them. I have been a domestic goddess for 35 years, so you can imagine the amount of hoovers I have had, and the only decent one in all that time has been my darling Dyson.

We bought this item due to our previous Dyson decided to break on us. This item was a 'graded' product, but in all honesty we can't tell the difference between this and our old dyson when we bought it.
Pros: Fantastic suction, bought with waranty, cost, incomparable to brand new.
Cons: Unreliable on how long 'decent' for - it's a Dyson.
