Dyson DC01 Bagless Upright Vacuum

The hoover was not as in good condition as expected. The dyson had not had a service like the seller said as the hoover was not working when i recieved it. i contacted the seller and he explained how to fix it which i did. The hoover needed 2 new filters and had no tools as it stated when i bought it. I have contacted the seller numerous times and still not recieved the tools.

Like most really old DC01s, the motor are prone to cut out/over heat after 10 mins use, which is difficult to check when buying. Unfortunately, this example was no exception. I just took the risk coz the price was low. I guess it gives one an incentive to finish the hoovering quickly. I think I'll have to replace it with a DC04 soon.

I love these Dysons DC01 you carnt buy them new now so a recon is the only option. I am on my second now the old one is still working but is noisy now so is used as a spare vac. The new one came from KD Appliances here on ebay and is fantastic looks new and works like a brand new one. DC01 i feel is the best vac dyson made its simple design small head make for easy storage and works a treat for the dog hairs.

Dyson have to be one of the best vacuum cleaners that came on the market, easy to use and great suction..picks up well and the tools that come with it are good...recommend to all....

I am very pleased with my purchase. The delivery was within a couple of days which was important to me as my reason for buying this product was that my other machine had packed up so I was without a vacuum cleaner. It was a reconditioned machine and I was impressed with how clean it was and the over all condition, all in all I feel that I made a very satisfactory purchase of a very good commodity.

My son needed a hoover and could not aford to purchase one himself. So I thought "Yes" if I can find a Dyson on ebay at a price that I could aford it would be grand. I found this Dyson , the price was about right for me to pay.
On receiving it I tried it out before passing it to my son, it made such a loud noise on switching off, like a dying out engine. I contacted the seller, my reply was: it is because its an old model, but if it breaks down within 4 weeks they would refund my money on reciept of the hoover being returned. I didnt realise just how old the hoover was going to be as in the picture it really didnt look that old, it had age discoloration all over it.
I passed the hoover to my son and he now tells me it doesnt pick up very well. So to be truthful I will not be purchasing any hoovers on ebay again. This as happend to ME, it may not happen to you but be coutious.

i love the dyson hoover as i have a two year old daughter who is constantly dropping things and two dogs with the dyson i can just whip it out it picks up everything i actually enjoy hoovering now before it was a chore id put off

As an owner of a Dyson for many years I was unsure of what to buy next as mine had been mended for the last time. There is no doubt Dyson are the best hoover that I have ever owned. I bought this model as a reconditioned hoover and have had no complaints about it whatsoever.

its so easy and powerfull it only takes half the time of other vacumes
and my husband has no exusess for not hoovering would by another dident know
how really good they are bagless and esy to clean got this great name as my other hoover died hope any body else will give them a try as they are the greatest hoover i have ever hade and really good value for money buy on e-bay

Although the Dyson DC01 Bagless Upright Cleaner is a bit noisy and the suction is excellent.It realy cleans the carpets and picks up the Dogs Hairs. The clear bagless dirt holder shows not only the amount you have collected but you can tell when it has to be empted.The extention pipe which is part of the machine will reach up a good flight of stairs aprox 13ft.You do have to change 2 filters which are easy to do.
We highly recommend the Dyson DC01.This is our second one we have had .Our first one we had for 8 to 10 years.
We just like the Dyson it gives you a good service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bagless design is just great ~ Easy to use and best of all you can REALLY See how much muck , Fluff & wonderful Childish Mess just gets on that floor.
My first Dyson was bought well over 10 years ago the DYSON DC01 FAB HOOVER!
So when after 10 long years of a Respectful loving relationship my hubby came to the conclusion we needed a new Hoover, OK the Suction had given way a little and the pipe had split after MANY years of being pulled on for those Dreaded Stairs but HEY all in all the OLD GAL had done well.
Our next Choice of Hoover would be of course a DYSON and we decided on DC01 , WHY CHANGE A HABIT OF A LIFETIME.
They are built to last with Few if any faults ~ RECONDITIONED and as NEW ~ My love affair can start again with a fresher (but the same) model.

Well what can i say the plug was hanging off which is a death trap it didn't work, and when i tried contacting the seller my calls and messages were ignored and also my emails. So i have a hoover that doesn't work and am £35 down. CRAP

An excellent inexpensive bagless vacuum cleaner, very versatile and relatively trouble free. The DC01 is the entry level model but even so the suction is remarkable. This is our second model, the first one was 13 - 14 years old and even over that period of time I can only recall it ever needing a couple of services and a set of wheels. The motor was still working fine but the plastic retaining part of the casing around the front which holds the roller had started to disintegrate possibly due to constant banging and this reconditioned model at the Buy It Now Price was too good to miss, possibly cheaper than having the old one repaired. I can highly recommend these vacuums.

Awkward to empty. Good cleaning when used as an upright, reasonable suction when used as a vacuum. A bit heavy to use. Probably not built as well as I would like, but will still outlast many cheap uprights from the Far East. Spares plentiful and cheap.

Recommended.

The reasons for buying a refurbished Dyson DC01 are quite simple.

Firstly it is a quality item that actually does what it says it can do, unlike similar items that claim to do much but sadly underperform.

Secondly Dyson spare parts are not only readily available but fairly priced as well. This is an area where many competitors fall down because of their lack of after sales service combined with expensive parts.

Essentially Dyson offer a top quality product with full after sales back-up.

I bought this particular dyson from this seller after having recent problems with a previous seller called Northeastdysons. It would seem that I am not the only customer who was lied to by NORTHEASTDYSONS as you only have to look at that sellers feedback to see. Anyone who has dealt with NORTHEASTDYSONS will know that he is a conman not to be trusted and you are only safe if you pay with paypal and are able to get your money back but it takes about a month. Northeastdysons has now lied in my feedback saying that i signed for his imaginary dyson when in reality he told me that DHL lost 5 of his dysons in a month and thats why I hadnt received it...............
