Dyson DC01 Bagless Upright Vacuum

The hoover was not as in good condition as expected. The dyson had not had a service like the seller said as the hoover was not working when i recieved it. i contacted the seller and he explained how to fix it which i did. The hoover needed 2 new filters and had no tools as it stated when i bought it. I have contacted the seller numerous times and still not recieved the tools.

Well what can i say the plug was hanging off which is a death trap it didn't work, and when i tried contacting the seller my calls and messages were ignored and also my emails. So i have a hoover that doesn't work and am £35 down. CRAP

(please note that this is a good review for this seller but I am making sure that I make it as public as possible that I recently bought from a seller called northeastdysons and that was one of my worst ebay experiences - please read my review for that person to read the whole story)
I bought this particular dyson from this seller after having recent problems with a previous seller called Northeastdysons. It would seem that I am not the only customer who was lied to by NORTHEASTDYSONS as you only have to look at that sellers feedback to see. Anyone who has dealt with NORTHEASTDYSONS will know that he is a conman not to be trusted and you are only safe if you pay with paypal and are able to get your money back but it takes about a month. Northeastdysons has now lied in my feedback saying that i signed for his imaginary dyson when in reality he told me that DHL lost 5 of his dysons in a month and thats why I hadnt received it...............

Unfortunately I learned the hard way that buying a 2nd hand vacuum cleaner can be very disappointing. DC01s are the best Dysons, but I have now bought a brand new Miele which is absolutely fantastic in comparison to a Dyson. The DC01 from Ebay arrived only fit for the dump,it really stank and was well worn and broken in places, even had a wheel off !! The seller refunded the cost, and I waived the postage costs. So we both lost out. No feedback left, as I find with Ebay if you leave even neutral feedback you get the same back.

I bought this for a flat we rent out. It's reconditioned, not new, and was very cheap. However, I have to say I love it so much I've decided to use it myself as everything they say about Dyson hoovers appears to be true! Would recommend to anybody.

After trying other makes of vacuum cleaners, and the newer Dysons in particular, I decided to return to an old faithful, the DC01. It is strong and robust, and not oversized. Easy to maintain, clean etc.

I bought the first 01 upright dyson 5 years ago second hand ,Ihave cats and dogs and very muddy feet traipsing in and out of the house.it is a very durable machine and picks up heaps better than my previous hoovers and i am very hard on hoovers ,was a cleaner for a few years and they had the newer model and other makes and personally i felt they were noway near as good as this hoover. the older models are best in my view

I've always wanted a Dyson, but on a very tight. This purchase gave me the chance to own one at a very reasonable price, also I carefully inspected the Dyson and tested it and I am delighted with the purchase.

Like most really old DC01s, the motor are prone to cut out/over heat after 10 mins use, which is difficult to check when buying. Unfortunately, this example was no exception. I just took the risk coz the price was low. I guess it gives one an incentive to finish the hoovering quickly. I think I'll have to replace it with a DC04 soon.

I love these Dysons DC01 you carnt buy them new now so a recon is the only option. I am on my second now the old one is still working but is noisy now so is used as a spare vac. The new one came from KD Appliances here on ebay and is fantastic looks new and works like a brand new one. DC01 i feel is the best vac dyson made its simple design small head make for easy storage and works a treat for the dog hairs.

Dyson have to be one of the best vacuum cleaners that came on the market, easy to use and great suction..picks up well and the tools that come with it are good...recommend to all....

I am very pleased with my purchase. The delivery was within a couple of days which was important to me as my reason for buying this product was that my other machine had packed up so I was without a vacuum cleaner. It was a reconditioned machine and I was impressed with how clean it was and the over all condition, all in all I feel that I made a very satisfactory purchase of a very good commodity.

My son needed a hoover and could not aford to purchase one himself. So I thought "Yes" if I can find a Dyson on ebay at a price that I could aford it would be grand. I found this Dyson , the price was about right for me to pay.
On receiving it I tried it out before passing it to my son, it made such a loud noise on switching off, like a dying out engine. I contacted the seller, my reply was: it is because its an old model, but if it breaks down within 4 weeks they would refund my money on reciept of the hoover being returned. I didnt realise just how old the hoover was going to be as in the picture it really didnt look that old, it had age discoloration all over it.
I passed the hoover to my son and he now tells me it doesnt pick up very well. So to be truthful I will not be purchasing any hoovers on ebay again. This as happend to ME, it may not happen to you but be coutious.

The reasons for buying a refurbished Dyson DC01 are quite simple.

Firstly it is a quality item that actually does what it says it can do, unlike similar items that claim to do much but sadly underperform.

Secondly Dyson spare parts are not only readily available but fairly priced as well. This is an area where many competitors fall down because of their lack of after sales service combined with expensive parts.

Essentially Dyson offer a top quality product with full after sales back-up.

bought the wand as a replacement which was far cheaper than on the dyson website. Arrived quickly, was easy to fit and now my dyson will last far longer. Love it and so easy to replace any part of it.

A great vacuum, the original dyson. This was a reconditioned one and is great.
I had a dyson 10 years ago and it lasted for 8 years before I killed it.
Great suction, easy to use and the hose stretches the entire length of the staircase

ok so it's a bit tatty looking but for the price I paid I was expecting a lot worse. Fully working and my carpet has never been cleaner, i am totally impressed.

OUR OLD DYSON HAD HAD ITS DAY SO IT WAS TIME TO BUY ANOTHER. FOUND A SITE ON EBAY WHO RE-FURBISH OLD ONES AND WHEN WE RECIEVED IT I WAS DELIGHTED HOW GOOD IT WAS ESPECIALLY BECAUSE IT WAS A FRACTION OFF THE COST OF A BRAND NEW ONE. THESE ARE THE BEST DOMESTIC VACUUMS YOU CAN BUY , ESPECIALLY THE OLD ONES WHICH WERE MADE IN THE UK.

We needed a new hoover and didn't want to pay too much for one as we mostly have wooden floors. I saw this hoover advertised on E-Bay for £35 and £15 postage and thought was a bargain. This is a fantastic hoover in lovely condition and I am so pleased with this item.

I had a dyson and this is what made me get another,they are always tough and robust and last for ages.My previous dyson cost me £200 and was worth every penny the only item i have had to replace is the filters.If you have a problem you just phone the helpline whose number is on the dyson and they talk you through the problem.All my family have dysons and we are all very happy with them.We would never use any other hoovers.

An excellent machine which really makes a difference to carpets and rugs, even though they have been regularly vacuumed before - the Dyson deep cleans. Bought this for my mother to replace one she dropped down the stairs - she was delighted to get one just the same as the damaged one!
