The glass jug and variety of speeds are definately plus points, however, you do get these features with a number of other good makes of blenders. Easy to clean....always a bonus!!

Normally one would simply fill the jug and put it on the stand. With the dualit, you have to not only fit the lid onto the jug but also onto the safety part of the stand at the back before the machine will start. Personally I find this somewhat tiresome as it is a little fiddly because the lid is rubberized and therefore does not simply slip into place onto the jug. You need to jiggle it into position at the same time as aligning the part at the back onto the safety stand. I daresay I will get used to it but it is time consuming...enough time is something that is lacking in all our lives!!
