Secret Garden - Dreamcatcher (CD 2000)

I had already chosen my Mariah Carey CD and was then looking for some relaxing and calming music to do my exercises to. I knew that the Secret Garden was a tune that stayed in my thoughts well beyond the time when I first heard it on the Eurovision Song for Europe contest. Again it was easily 15 years ago. Again like I did with the Mariah Carey CD, I went on the search engine. I had to do a double take when I first seen it for sale on the site!

I quickly checked to see if it was the same tune and by the same artist - it was! I quickly placed my bid and couldn't wait for it to arrive. It didn't take long - I then sat down and listened with bated breath, I just can't explain what this music does to the extent I would like to - it is haunting in the most beautiful way, calming and tranquil as were the other tracks on this CD. Ironically the lady who plays the violin was from Ireland but she was representing a country which name escapes me at the moment, it was somewhere like Norway. However I wanted this track to win, it is one of those tunes, that as soon as you hear it, you just know it's a winner - and it was, what was unusual about this entry winning was it was a tune and not a song and therefore it did cause a lot of controversy when it did win.

I did try to obtain it shortly after the Eurovision song contest, but failed miserably. Now I am the proud owner of a CD that stands proudly amonst my CD collection. If you need calm and tranquility in your life, then this CD is a must! Is there anything Ebay cannot get? I don't think so, they can get you anything if you just search for it, I did and I am so happy I did!

I FIRST HEARD ONE TRACK OF THIS CD, AND AS I AM RATHER IMPULSIVE BY NATURE BOUGHT IT IMMEDIATELY EXPECTING THE REST OF THE CD TO BE A DISAPPOINTMENT AS HAS BEEN THE CASE MANY TIMES BEFORE. THIS WAS DIFFERENT, AS ITS THE TYPE OF BEAUTIFUL MUSIC THAT YOU CAN LISTEN TO IN ANY SITUATION. AS A AROMATHERPIST, I PLAY IT AS BACKGROUND MUSIC, IT IS LOVELY AS QUIET DINNER MUSIC, MUSIC TO SIT AND JUST LISTEN TO WHEN YOU ARE IN YOUR OWN SPACE, AND ALSO IT HAS A SOFT AND GENTLY ROMANTIC FEEL THAT APPEALS TO ALL, SONG AFTER SONG. I HAVE SINCE GIVEN IT AS A GIFT TO A FRIEND WHO IS GOING THROUGH A BAD TIME, KNOWING THAT THE HAUNTING, SOUL TOUCHING SOUNDS CAN BE VERY THERAPUTIC TO A SAD HEART.
