Its not as bad as you may think!

Went to see this in the cinema with a couple of friends. Two of us have religiously seen all of The Rocks' films, not because we consider them to be great works of cinematic genius or because we rate him as an Oscar-grade actor, just because they never cease to make us giggle.
The other lad came along knowing what he was seeing, but didn't know The Rock was involved. If he knew, he'd never have come along, prejudging it to be naff straight away.
However, after 1/2 an hour of loose plot and muscle, we were all smirking away.
OK, trying to make a film out of a game is a surefire way of making a truly attrocious piece of celuloid, Streetfighter is the best example I can think of to portray this. Unless it's animated, of course, where little things such as reality and stunt recreation is not an issue (I point once again to Streetfighter, the animated movie, which I rubber-stamp as being class).
However, if you want some true alpha-male guns and muscle action and can shut your brain off, you cant go wrong with Doom. Buy it, buy booze, relax, have a laugh.
