Like all good art, this film makes you think. Think so hard your head may hurt, but not in a bad way.
A brilliant performance from Jake Gyllenhal and a wonderful supporting cast (especially for those of us who miss the hapless Dr Carter [ER]) make this film tirelessly watchable.
If you're a sci-fi fan who has ever pondered the Grandfather Paradox, parallel universes or alternate timelines, you'll adore the concepts in this film.
It made so much sense to me by the end of it I was wondering if perhaps I should seek psychological help of some kind, so I watched it again straight away just to make sure it still made sense.
You don't have to be young or have any class A substances in your system to enjoy this film. I'm a middle-aged mother of two and I loved it (shh, don't tell the youngsters but there is no generation gap anymore because we invented it all!).
An intelligent, beautiful piece of cinema and one of my 'Desert Island DVDs'.
I think everyone takes something slightly different from this film, for me it's a film about second chances & being given the chance to do the right thing. Definitely one to discuss into the wee small hours with like-minded friends :o)
