A whimsical fantasy, as psychiatrist Brando attempts to unravel the true story of Depp's life. But at the end of the film, it is hard to tell where fantasy ends and reality begins: who really is mad, Don Juan in his fantasy world, or the psychiatrist who starts to believe him - but in doing so revitalises his own love?
