The Master Is Back

This is my favourite of all the David Tennant Doctor Who stories. Why? Because it has the best villain. Forget the Daleks, ignore the Cybermen. The Master is back and he's badder and madder than ever! A brilliant performance by John Simm leaves the Doctor on the sidelines for once. As for Derek Jacobi... the chilling look in his eyes when he knows who he really is - now that is acting.
From present day Earth to the end of the Universe and back again, the Doctor and friends go on an amazing journey and meet a delightful scientist with a terrible secret. The story is great, quirky, witty and scary. There are some terrific one liners, mostly from John Simm's Master this despite the presence of the usually show stealing Captain Jack Harness, taking a brief vacation from Torchwood.
For once the Doctor has met his match, another Time Lord, equally gifted, equally knowledgeable, is about to master the universe. With the Doctor and Jack prisoner can Martha Jones really save the day?
My favourite scene is the Master dancing around to Scissor Sister's 'I can't decide', master and lord of all he surveys and milking every moment!
