Doctor Who - Series 2 - Complete (DVD)

I was really pleased after buying this box set of series 2. Anyone who saw the series and enjoyed it I recommend to buy the box set. It's full of interesting extras such as Video Diaries from both David Tennant and Billy Piper. Also out-takes and video commentaries are included.

As for the episodes there really is something for everyone. Funny, scary and exciting all in one episode. Certainly not just a programme for kids but for the whole family.

This box set is excellent from start to finish. If David Tennant is your favourite Doctor, then this is the series for you. Thrills and spills in every episode...scary for the most part...comedy...fine acting from everyone...emotional roller coaster with Rose and The Doctor, with a finale to end all finales. Tissues at the ready...
Just one little blip - 'Love and Monsters' - which is a shame because we all love Peter Kay, but it just wasn't up there with the rest.
Superb little extras for die-hard fans - David Tennant's Video Diaries is a must see - spend nine months with David on set, and at home, and fall in love with him just a little bit more.

The seller put on the picture of the boxset and did not explain well enough that in fact he was only selling one disk!!! I was extreamly disserpointed which is why I di not give him a rating1 And I shall never ever buy from this person again!!!!!

Whilst this series, in my opinion at least, fluctuates in the quality of the episodes, having my 2nd least favourite episode (Love and Monsters), and also my 2nd favourite 2-parter (Impossible Planet, Satan Pit). But overall, this series is every bit as good as the first, balancing out some of the weaker episodes with some excellent ones!.
This series was a great introduction to David Tennant as the 10th Doctor, a role which he of course will be leaving next year.. :(
I would definately recommend this to fans of the series and newcomers alike! :-)

p.s. the picture of the tardis on the box moves! AND you get to see what the Dalek and Cyberman look like inside =P It is awesome! :D

The Second Series of Doctor Who is one of the best series of this show, David Tennat who is named the best doctor ever with the companion of Billy Piper cannot let you down with the best of drama, action, suspense, a little bit of comedy and of course lots and tons of fun!
This is a great SET and of course the Great HEAD of the Cyberman makes this one unique.
A BEST BUY a GREAT GIFT a GREAT SHOW!

There is a real variety of story lines here that side-steps predictability. It gives you a sense of empathy with the characters and Billy Piper leaves you in no doubt of her credentials as a first class actress - a star is born (pun intended)
A right rip-roaring inter-time/space/stella romp that will leave you with a smile on your face and the remote in your hand looking for the next episode.

What can i say David Tennant, Billie Pipper and everyone involoved with the show at their best, the extra's part really good although there should have been more of Billie's dairy footage on the extra's bit but can't complain.

Great Box set !!! Watched by ALL the family.

“Think you’ve seen it all? Think again” eulogised the promotional trailer for series two of “New” Doctor Who. At Christmas we’d had a glimpse of David Tennant but thirteen episodes of uncertainty lay ahead in April 2006. Could series two match or even surpass series one?

All fourteen Tennant episodes are here in all their glory together with many deleted scenes. To be honest I can see why most of the deleted scenes didn’t make it. My favourite is the Les Dawson soundailke who quizzes Tennant on his missing horse. The outtakes are far more interesting although a handful have obviously been specially created for the release.

In Vision commentaries are an interesting new idea to give this feature a new lease of life.

David Tennant’s video diaries are fascinating. Here is surely the first actor to play the part who is clearly fascinated by the show itself. Moments to enjoy include, Tennant’s first day, Christmas at home, turning on the Christmas lights, discussing Daleks with fiancée Sophia Myles, and the David Tennant figure. Sadly the trailers for this year have not been included which is a shame as a lot of effort went into to creating them. The BBCi trailer was particularly worthy of note and would have been a great asset to the set.

Packaging is a great improvement. Although the TARDIS box of last year seems a good idea, it not only takes up too much space but also the dimensions could so easily have been much closer to the police box blueprint but still house the discs. I see that as series two emerges, series one gets repackaged in a similar style.

Just to complete the set, there is the “Children In Need” mini-episode written to bridge the gap between series and doctors. I’m told it isn’t the same version as was shown although I haven’t done the comparison myself so be warned and don’t ditch your transmission copy.

The booklet contains some beautiful images as these are correctly printed instead of taking up valuable space on the discs as a gallery.

Enjoy the best drama on British television.

what i like about it is that it has lots of fun episodes i desiceded it buy it because I had just got some birthday money and i just wanted a laugh!

My daughter is dr who mad and it is a gift for doing well at school and putting in 100% effort. It was the best priced DVD listed.

I got this DVD from an excellent seller, it was a very good price and a quick delivery and i think that David Tennant makes a terrific Doctor and the stories are exceedingly good.

Loved the tv series so decided to buy the boxset got series 123 and 4 the box was different as it has a hololgram on it,but i like tis as it is different from the one i saw in the shops,great price also for such a worthwhile buy something i am sure i will enjoy for many years to come.

One of the best ever Doctor Who series ever, featuring possibly the best Doctor of all time and one of the best assistants. This searies has some of the all time greatest old school monsters like the Darleks and Siber Men. An absolute mest for all Doctor Who fans.Enjoy

The whole of the second series of the new Doctor Who in a box set and with special features and a making of disc, superb for any fan of the Doctor.
I bought this as I had the first series and wanted to get the second before then buying the 3rd.

My husband wanted the complete set and I wanted to find a good price. What we received was well packaged, delivered quickly and better than what we expected. He has watched a few episodes already and dvds are in perfect condition as described. Good ebay experience and purchase, great price.

Doctor Who is probally the BBC best series ever, its fun for all the family. The new series is no let down, and has great story lines week after week.

A definate must for any serious DVD collector.
