Someone is taking the Dr's past selves out of time and space, placing them in a vast wilderness - a battle arena with a sinister tower at its centre. As the various incarnations of the doctor join forces, they learn they are in the Death Zone on their home world of Gallifrey, fighting Daleks, Cybermen, Yeti...and a devious Time Lord traitor who is using the Doctor and his companions to discover the ancient secrets of Rassilon, the first and most powerful ruler of Gallifrey.
The Five Doctors was originally broadcast to celebrate the Twentieth Anniversary of Doctor Who in 1983. This new version of the story features extended scenes, previously unseen sequences, new visual effects and a stereo soundtrack. I bought the dvd for my 7 year old son who just loves the new Doctor Who as a taster of the kind of Doctor Who that I grew up with and he just loved it. I have ended up biding for more of the dvds. The 5 doctor who,s was a perfect dvd from him as it was not to scary and he could follow the plot easy.

An excellent episode of the classic series. With Peter Davidson as the main Doctor the jokes come fast and thick, however this episode has a dangerous mission for the Doctor's which could lead them all to be wiped from the time line completely!
Shame that William Hartnel was dead by the time of filming, however his replacement nailed the character perfectly!

Back to a time where sets and story-lines were shakier than than a snow-globe, comes one of the crossover stories that are scattered through the series' long past.
What's to tell? Well, you have the grumpy one, the untidy one, the arrogant one, the alien one, and...well peter Davidson. In truth age hasn't been entirely kind to the episode; the Cybermen are as menacing as a gay pride march, the Daleks are barely in it, and of course, the master is as usual, the master.
Somehow though, it works.

The five Doctors are a 'blast from the past' with 70s special effects and costumes which my 'Dr Who fan' daughter belly-laughed at.
It is an excellent example of just how far the current Dr Who series special effects and story lines have come.

What a great story! There had been the Two Doctors and the Three Doctors but this one tops the lot! Unfortunately, William Hartnell had died before this series and his place was taken by Richard Hurndall who carried the role of the tetchy old man perfectly. Tom Baker was unavailable to appear in the show and is only seen at the beginning and end, but Sarah Jane, Tegan, Susan, Jaymie, K9, The Brigadier and quite a few others put in an appearance along with Daleks, Cybermen and the Yeti! All taking part in the Game of Death. To try and explian the story is a bit too complex, suffice it to say that this a brilliant tale and quite possibly one of the best Doctor stories ever, present series included. If you've not seen this before get it! You won't be disappointed. If you're an old time fan then add this to your collection. It's a must. Brilliant! Out of 10...12! The Doctor Rules...OK!

This is a very famous Doctor Who title, with five of the doctors participating, originally made in 1983.Some of the technology looks quite dated now,but has all the old enemies to watch.They do have quite a number of outdoor scenes, mountaind mainly!! but the episode takes you through the storyline gently and not at such a hectic pace as with current episodes of the doctor . Well worth the 100 min watch.

I think Dr Who and The Five Doctors is one of the greats where you get all of the first five doctors in the one series the only other which as more than one doctor is Dr Who and Three Doctors it is nice to see how the different actors played the same part. Well worth giving this a try.

It has all the great monsters (daleks, cybermen, yetits e.c.t.) How ever much you have watched Doctor who (NEW seris or OLD) This is an easy story to follow and a great CLASSIC story!!
