Album Notes The Waco Brothers: Deano, Jonboy (guitar, vocals); Tracey Dear (mandolin, vocals); Durante (steel guitar); Alan Sprocket Doughty (bass); Leopard Boy Goulding (drums).Additional personnel: John Rice (fiddle); Dave Max Crawford, Paul Mertens (horns); Tom Ray (acoustic bass); John "Brenny" Brennan (bass).Engineers: Kenny Sluiter, Baron Von Trumfio, Mike Hagler. The Waco Brothers were on a roll in 1997, releasing two of their best albums (this and COWBOY IN FLAMES) within months of each other. A perfect companion piece to COWBOY IN FLAMES, DO YOU THINK ABOUT ME continues to explore the socially-conscious cowpunk territory the band staked out on its debut album, but with a few new twists. The horn section on the title song adds a touch of early-'70s Stones, and a savage take on Neil Young's "Revolution Blues" reveals that the Wacos' influences extend beyond Nashville. The agile Western Swing-style steel guitar of "Hard Times" and the folkie pining of "Arizona Rose" show that the band is still headed down the distinctive and rewarding track on which they began.
