Dinnerladies must be one of the most entertaining programmes by Victoria Wood ever! I have watched both series over and over and never get tired of it, especially Julie Walters as the mad mother. I actually question myself believing the stories she comes out with ( I must be gullible!). So buy and enjoy! smithy318

I WAS TALKING TO A FRIEND ONE AFTERNOON ABOUT THE COMEDY PROGRAMME CALLED DINNERLADIES AND THEY SAID THAT THEY WISHED THEY HAD THE COMPLETE SERIES ON DVD. QUICK AS A FLASH I SEARCHED ON EBAY FOR THIS ITEM AND PURCHASED IT IMMEDIATELY FOR THEM. MY FRIEND WAS ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED WITH THE SPEED AT WHICH THE WHOLE TRANSACTION WAS COMPLETED.

Must see series - Victoria Wood at her best !!Review created: 10/06/06

Having started watching the first series on UK Gold I was looking for a cheap and cheerful way of watching the second series at my own pace at home. I was thrilled to see this Dvd on E-bay, and at such a good price I could not resist.
When I got the product I started watching it and there was absolutely no problems with the Dvd, but when I started to watch the episodes on the second Dvd I then suddenly saw that the Dvd had stopped and "correcting disc error" appeared on the screen. Anyone who has ever seen this will think that there is something wrong with the disc, but it usually skips a couple of minutes, but not in this case and instead I lost about the last ten minutes of one episode and have no idea how the episode ended. But at least I know how the series ended, which is some relief. The extras are OK i suppose and I feel that they are only on there to fill up space on the Dvd.
The series is really good and I would recommend it, but go through it with a fine toothpick and make sure that it works correctly. I like the format that the Dvd is presented in, which is full screen, as I am not a fan of widescreen format. The picture quality of the Dvd is excellent and the Dvd is a proper copy and was not put onto disc.
If you like lots of extras on a Dvd, then you will be bitterly disappointed, but if you just like the idea of watching the episodes then this is a great buy for you.
