Pure, beautiful, cheese
Made in 1965 with it's heart in the 50's this would now be a cult classic if it starred Mr.McQueen. Bad enough to be brilliant; wooden acting, vegetable zombies and Boris; who could ask for more. Scared me in '73 when I was 12,(but they'd kept me in short trousers 'til I was 11); Now it's a laugh a minute.

Die monster die has a certain charm as an adaptation of a better story , if your a H.P.Lovecraft fan it's worth a look. Karloff carry's great screen presence as usual however the acting from the rest of the cast is lacklustre and something better direction could have changed. Buy it for collection if your into horror and hope if remade they use experienced actors not slasher flick kids and dont use to much cgi. One of Stephen King's film collection's of short stories is a close one to this story [featuring King as Jordy Verell] and worth a look .
