Dexter - Series 1 (DVD)

One of the best new drama's I've seen. Dex has a secret, he's a police forensic tech he deals with splatter patterns and sometimes he takes his work home with him! Things arent easy working in an office with cop's that would disapprove of his hobby but it does make finding candidates easier. The arrival of a new serial killer in the city peak Dex's interests. Someone to play with compete with or catch? Good TV not for kids, humour is balanced well with action. Acting good throughout with believable characterisation, well worth watching.

I discovered this rather slick series late on, currently season 3 is being aired on TV. However, it is well worth watching and is a decent enough serialization of the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter. Highly enjoyable watch, even if it is about a serial killer....

Heard a lot about the series on TV so bought it to see if it was as good as I was told. Looks good from what I've seen. Product was brand new and in excellent condition when it reached me

Gruesome but funnily moral series about a forensic scientist working in a police dept who hunts down and kills serial killers the police dont have on their radar. Fabulous.

Dexter is funny and has a lot of twists and turns in it so you ever know what will happen next.

I likes all the characters and how it kept falsh backing to when Dexter was younger and why he is like he is.

My daughter raved about Dexter when it first began so I decided to buy it. My husband and I are totally hooked, we are now onto SERIES TWO. Sometimes a second series can disappoint e.g. 24 :o( but Dexter is just brilliant we will soon be buying series 3. Its very bloodthirsty, and its a dark story but excellent nevertheless.

watched half of it so far, very good indeed. Read all the books, and although it doesn't follow them exactly, it has been a very enjoyable watch.

everything about it was perfect! you cant go wrong with buying this! it keeps me entertained all the way through and could watch over and over again!

I first saw Michael C Hall in the American show, Six Feet Under which was excellent. He hasn't let us down in Dexter. Another original idea in which Michael C Hall plays a very different character to anything I have seen. If you have never seen it, give it a go. Brilliant.

Totally different! After years of repetitive cop shows, bored housewives, hospital shows, etc this is a smack in the face and an enjoyable one!

oh were do i start..if you loved six feet under, you'll really love dexter. this is series one only, but it is already a classic. dark yet humerous, clever and original. michael c hall is excellent in the leading roll of blood spatter anylist dexter. he is a serial killer of serial killers.
there are too many sub plots, twits and turns to mention, but it is totally origional, very watchable and i cant wait to watch series two.

loved watching this box set, it made me laugh, you can't help liking dexter even tho he's a serial killer, can't wait to buy season 2
