Roll-out the clingfilm / seranwrap - Dexter's about !
We loved DEXTER series one and two for its moral ambiguity and the fantastically dry witted interior monologue of Michael C Hall's Dexter; a truly unique crimefighting superhero with a penchant for clingfilm and mass murder.
This programmed really makes you think about the nature of justice and vigilantism and asks some thought provoking questions about how we deal with those who get away. For this reason I rate Dexter in a league of its own way above the usual run of the mill CSI type dramas.
The writing is superb with loads of unexpected twists and cliffhanger endings.
It is visually stunning, whether set in Miami or in the claustraphobic killing rooms. The performances are ALL first rate (we loved his slightly un-hinged sister in particular)
Added to this each episode starts with arguably the most graphically violent depiction of making a simple breakfast ever shown on tv!
You've gotta love him for all the wrong reasons !
