The Descent (DVD)

I really didn't want to go and see this film. the line up didn't excite me, the plot didn't excite me, and to be honest i am pretty critical of films overall. i don't scare and jump easily, and hate obscene unnecessary gore. but...this film was bloody marvellous ! this is clearly and by far the best scary film i have seen in my whole 32 years and was soooo unexpectedly fantastic that i am going to have to watch this again. i have never made a murmer in a cinema apart from the odd giggle at the funnies, but this film had me screaming in terror on not one, but at least 4 or 5 occasions. and for me that's really good going. it has terror, horror, a little gore, story, twists, turns, and an exceptional ending. i am not easily pleased believe me, but this ticks all the right boxes for a damn good film !!! watch this with the lights out, and the volume up...and on the biggest screen you can find.
