Denon D-M50S CD Shelf System

Only not giving 100% due to noisiness of CD drawer when accessing CDs sounds a bit agricultural which would benefit from dampening if being fussy, so how unhappy is that. Probably paid a good price for it, most Denon stuff ive had in the past has been full size separates and now needed a smaller unit, which I already had a Midi size denon minidisc to mate it with. I cannot believe the sound of a unit which is in effect 25w per channel as it shames bigger systems ive had. I dont know if its down to the unit or fact its matched to the SC M50 speakers, but on half volume with +5 bass and treble settings, is causing complaints from downstairs (probably fact they can make out lyrics clearly and some albums are advisory for language?)and had a quick tweak up to 3/4 volume and NO distortion or fuzziness AT ALL. Not going to go into tech stuff because I have had many set-ups over the years and done my DJ stints in the 80's and 90's, so know what works for me - and this DOES, which is enough reccomendation for me, and I like quality gear. So, no facts and figures to be bored with, would recommend you get one with remote as some buttons can be fiddly and you may find it gets shoved about if its not on a slip mat or similar, but for an 'all-in-one' unit - plays 3 CD's internally, radio, 2 dedicated inputs for minidisc/tape, has a built-in tuner, digital display - should be enough for most people, and will certainly punch big enough to fill a fairly large room (still cant believe sound out of these speakers!). In a nutshell, once again, RECOMMENDED !
