Demons

Demons is an incredibly entertaining Italian horror film from the 80s, directed by Lamberto, son of Mario, Bava and produced by the legendary Dario Argento. The plot of the film has a number of people being invited to attend a special screening of a horror film about demonic possession. The audience start to become possessed or end up dead, and the mayhem begins. Demons is full of impressive and very gorey special effects, and is great fun though serious at times. There's more that could have been done with the idea of real and "reel" life colliding, but despite this I would recommend the film to anyone who loves a good horror film. Fans of 80s cinema will also enjoy it, as the soundtrack is full of 80s rock and heavy metal, including Billy Idol, Motley Crue and, best of all, We Close Our Eyes by Go West. I'd always wanted to see this film, and when I saw the very affordable auction for the DVD on ebay, I put a bid in and was lucky enough to win it. Demons may not be up to the standards of Dario Argento's finest films, but is a top notch little horror film in its own way and well watching and/or owning. on DVD.
