Dell Inspiron Mini 9 Laptop

Very nice netbook, if you're looking for a netbook this isn't a bad choice. It's very small, if you draw round it it fits easily onto a piece of A4 paper. It also weighs just over a kiogram, so is perfect for transporting places with ease. Battery life is probably around 3 hours on average, depends what you use it for. It is near silent, except for the low hum of the monitor (which is 8.9" with a standard resolution of 1024x600). The keyboard is too small, which is annoying until you get used to it, but if you're on the market for a laptop this small it can't be helped. The tracker pad is good. The shiny black finish gets fingerprints on it easily, you'll find yourself rubbing it every few minutes with a cloth if you're that way inclined.
Dell has given you the choice of 2 operating systems, xp and ubuntu (linux). If you buy the one with xp, expect it to cost a little more as xp isn't free. People seem scared to go on linux as they think it is more difficult to use, but honestly that is not the case with this type of linux. Out of the box it just worked. Unless you need a program that is only on windows, and can't use a substitute, I can't see why you'd pay more for xp. Within minutes of starting the laptop I was online etc, with no real prior experience of linux, with enough programs ready installed to keep most people happy.
Overall this is a good little laptop and I recommend it.
