This Film is about a Research Laboratory out in the Deep Blue where Sharks are captured to develop a Potential Cure for Alzheimer's Disease. With this research there comes a Fearful Side effect where the Sharks become Smarted and Meaner than Ever!
Its a case of you can Run but you can't Hide for these unfortunate researchers.
Move Over Jaws, this Film is Fantastic!!

It's not a bad film, but considering that it's not that old the editing & special effects are terrible! The story is good though.

I love this film, it has an excellent plot and is funny but also a bit frightening! I also love the ending.... very moving! 5 STAR *****

Whenever you see a shark movie you think of Jaws, although this film is not to bad its not great either. The film will keep you watching till the end, who will win the battle - man or beast?. It has some good moments and unexpected twists. Worth watching.

the reason i bought this film was my son wanted it as he liks sharks but i find it very good as well, the best thing about the film is ll cool j he is dead funny all through the film. the only thing i did not like about the film was the fact you could tell the sharks were not real but is still a really good film to watch, if you are thinkin about buyin it i hope this review helps you.

the film is good with a strange plot but it all works. the cgi is pretty rubbish but any film with mr jackson in is going to work. I suggest you rent it cause once you watch it u aint goner for a while.

this is a good shark movie!!! definately up there with jaws!!! i bought this movie because i saw it when i was younger and was terrified by the mutant sharks

Not fantastic but not bad either, but still one I would watch a couple of times. has some nice shark scenes, watch out for the shocking shark feed that takes you by surprise!
story can be slow at times but hey , most movies can be like that.
still I would still own it for the realistic shark looking animatronics.
the extras are fantastic especially making of as this is what made me realise that the fish were not real at parts. can't work out which are real and which were fake. Above average movie worth a watch. great value to buy on ebay!

Deep Blue Sea is a fast action packed film with great moving scenes and imagery. The acting is realistic and the effects are abit poor however it still satisfies. The film keeps the action coming, the script is abit predictable but the film is still suspenceful. Its the next best film to Jaws. Recommended.

Plot:

A businessman sinks $200 million into a special project to help fight brain cancer. As part of this project, medical biologist Susan McAlester rather naughtily figures out a way to genetically enlarge shark brains, so that cancer-battling enzymes can be harvested. However, the shark subjects become super smart and decide they don't much like being cooped up in pens and being stabbed with hypodermics, so they figure a way to break out and make for the open sea...

the reason i brought the film because i was watching on the telly and my daughter started watching it and she really like the film and she asked me if i could buy it her and since she had it she watch it loads

i really like this film. it's fun and very exciting.
i wanted to buy this dvd because i watched it years ago and i really wanted to watch it again. nice fiolm to watch with your family or by yourself. either way is rather good.

Deep Blue Sea is an amazing film. Based around the story of a secret experiment on sharks to see if they can make them smarter, as practice for a cure for alzheimers. The sharks do get smarter, and escape!
Great underwater tension.

I like this film because of the sharks with brains it is a great film and i recomend any one to watch it you wont be disapointed.....

I have watched this movie some time ago and I expected a lot more than I got. I would recommend to play it as a filler between another shots of vodka, when you chat with your friends and look at your tv from time to time. That's all I would like to say.

this is my daughter`s favourite film it keeps her amused for ages there some good twists and will keep you guessing

Loved this film when it came out & its still great. Its one of those films that just has something special. Good charecters & effects and not a bad story either.

If you liked Jaws or posiden, then this is a film for you. It may not be as good as those originals but it stands out on its own as a solid action/thrill ride. There are parts which are incredibly suspenseful, sharks are one thing but smart sharks...big trouble. I would recommend checking out if you like the big dumb type action/thriller, its predictable but In a good way, and the one liners are funny in parts. Samuel L Jackson's in it, you know it's going to be good.
