Just when you all thought we were doomed to listening to bland pop album after bland album and despite been told there sound would never catch on here they are, and what a sound they make, your gonna either love or hate it at the end of the day but i would much rather have a band like these in the charts than some of the other stuff we are fed. Recommended for anybody who likes rock type music or anyone just looking a new cd because with its loveable riffs and catchy lyrics you cant help but like it. The darkness Permission to land review. - jamieday83 With this CD I couldn't help but fall for such standout tracks as "Get Your Hands off My Woman" and the single "I Believe in a Thing Called Love." By blending hard-hitting guitar riffs with Hawkins' astonishingly strong, multi-octave voice on these tracks, the Darkness morphs into a heavy metal-pop hybrid that works both in both small bars and big arenas. And although I could spend hours dissecting the much-played "I Believe ... " video and questioning the spandex-clad quartet's intentions, I would end up missing the actual song, with its overwhelmingly catchy guitar hook and irresistible backing vocals during the chorus. Where's the thrill in that? This CD when played makes me want to smile and remember things from the time when it was released. After seeing the video to "I believe in a thing called love" I knew I had to buy this. If you like rock, My chemical romance, Keane, Greenday etc give this a try even if its just to hear Justin's girly song voice :) Jamieday83 Review ID: 10000000000093114 Was this review helpful?
