One of the most successful albums of all time, with over 35 million copies sold to date.

I love this album from start to finish, with great, memorable songs woven together in the unmistakeable Pink Floyd style. Includes classics such as 'Money', which is still a foot stomping tune even if the lyrics are now slightly dated. 'The Great Gig in the Sky' is instantly recognisable for its sweeping, minor key, agonised female vocal (used for a Neurofen ad for a while), and "Us and Them" is a simple, elegant melody that blends perfectly with the guitars and the chorus. Finally, "Brain Damage" is a glorious conclusion to the entire musical landscape.

An essential component of any self respecting musical collection - this album has stood the test of time and is one of the truly great musical creations of the 1970s.

A classic album but not without its faults the first few tracks are fantastic but nothing really sparkles after money. Worth buying if you like psychedelic music

I originally had this on vinyl in 1973 when it first came out. i would listen to it fr hourws and hours, all my vinyl collection got stolen and I have had it since on cd for many years, and too much playing has made it start jumping so I was in d8ire need of a new copy. This is an amazing Pink Floyd album well worth a listen.

I am amased that this CD sold in such numbers.

I was always surpised that I did not buy the album in the 1970's, but having played it now, I know why.

I think that it is rather self-indulgent. But really liked hearing Money again, it sort of sums-up the world in which we live today.

Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd

Probably one of my favourite all time albums by the Masters. I love every single track and think that Pink Floyd are probably the best British, or worldwide, group ever. This album epitomises Floyd's experimental and unique style that many have tried to copy but never mastered. I only bought this copy as I 'lost' my last one i.e. someone 'borrowed' it and have missed it badly. A MUST for all Floyd fans and a great introduction to Floyd for the younger generation of rock lovers.

Dark side of the Moon a Classic in our time!!!
Review created: 25/02/08

I remember falling asleep whilst listening to this album not that it’s a bad offering from Pink Floyd the Cd player was on repeat and it had played many times in the evening I was woken later by the clock's ticking that leads into "Time." And when the alarm clocks sound. wakey wakey!!!!.
Throughout the album the band lays down a solid framework which they embellish with synthesizers, sound effects and spoken voice tapes. The sound is lush and multi-layered while remaining clear and well-structured.
The Dark Side of the Moon is a great album with a good all round sound that not only invites, but demands involvement. Assuming your not stoned out your head. ;)
This is one of my favourites from Pink Floyd and a worthy addition to your music collection. Enjoy.

The Free X-Box 360, PSP, PS3 or Wii Guide – Not a Con!

This isn’t a scam or a con, to get a free console all you have to do is follow the 3 easy steps:

Step 1 : Sign up at the link below and choose a gift.

http://kudosnetwork.co.uk/?ref=4356 (copy and paste into browser)

Use your real email address and mailing address, as they will be sending you your console once you’ve earned it.

Step 2 : Try an advertiser's offer
You need to complete one of the offers, this is where the freebie site make their money, if you complete an offer then the freebie site will receive commission for it. So if you complete Coral which will only cost you £5 to complete, the freebie site gets £25 from Coral. The Coral site gives you ten pounds worth of free bets if you bet a fiver so it’s not bad value. The Lovefilm Free DVD rental (rent two DVD's, keep them for about 2 days, send them back and then cancel the trial) is pretty good too. Coral credits in an hour and is really simple to do. Lovefilm can take a while. There’s poker sites and other offers to take up, you can check them out at your leisure, but you must take one of the offers up to move on to the next step.

Step 3: Refer some friends
You will get a link to refer friends and members of the public. These freebie sites are springing up all over, generated by the poker sites’ rewards for player sign ups. You only need a few sign ups to get your free stuff so start emailing you buddies!

Extra Help
Stick to the rules and you will get your stuff!

- One account per household - don't use a public computer to sign up!
- Use real information - this is a proven legitimate site and they will not give out your information.
- Only complete each offer once! You cannot complete the same offer again, even for different freebies.
- Don't try and cheat! This site is real and is sending out stuff all the time. Just follow the rules above and get the latest console!

Interesting album. Recommended as one of the best of all time. Finally got round to adding it to my collection. A piece of its time which has endured. Part of Rock history played by real musicians who knew their craft backwards.

One of the best albums to ever be released
Review created: 29/01/08

in my opinion, this is one of, if not the best album to be released. All of the band are at their best and the music just flows and blends together so well.
Within the album itself, breathe, money, time and brain damage are some of my favourite Floyd tunes. i think they realy involve the listener.
Also, the album art is simplistic but it stands out out very well and can now, be easily recognised anywere.
The buyer will not be disappointed with this purchase and wether a noobie to Floyd or just a chilled rock fan, then this is a must for your collection.

Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon (CD)
Review created: 28/01/08

My vynil copy of this album was bought in 1973 and has seen better days. It is great to be able to hear a scratch free CD copy of one of my favourite albums of all time. Pink Floyd were ahead of the times when they released this album and they have produced nothing else as good since. It is a great album to relax and take it easy to and it is also great ironing music.

The Free iPhone Guide

To get yourself a free iPhone all you have to do is follow the 3 easy steps:

Step 1 : Sign up for a free iPhone
Sign up at the link below to get your free iPhone. We recommend this free iPhone site because it's been TRIED and TESTED to work.

http://Gifts.real-incentives.com/2992 (copy and paste into browser)

You can choose other prizes like free consoles from this site too! Make sure you use a real email address. Use your real details when you sign up so that the company knows where to send your iPhone! Remember that they have been proven legitimate, so will send you your free iPhone if you do everything legitimately!

Step 2 : Try an advertiser's offer
Basically all you need to do in this step is complete one of the offers, this is where the freebie site make their money, if you complete an offer then the freebie site will recieve commission for it. So if you complete Coral which will only cost you £5 to complete, the freebie site gets £25 from Coral. The two best offers are Lovefilm Free DVD rental (rent two DVD's, keep them for about 2 days, send them back and then cancel the trial) and Coral (bet £5 on a sport). I would reccommend you do Coral as it credits in an hour and is really simple to do, Lovefilm however can become complicated and takes up to 2 weeks to credit! You can also try one of the other offers, most are gambling offers. Don't skip this step! You must complete this step to get your free iPhone!

Step 3 : Refer some friends
This part is a lot easier than it seems, especially now with free iPhone sites getting so popular. There's lots of people online who want a free iPhone too, so start referring them! You only need to get a few signups before you'll be finished. You can ask your friends or your online buddies. I already got a free PS3, Wii, and XBOX Elite without even having to ask my friends for help - there's lots of people online who want a free iPhone like you! One of the easiest ways to get a referral is to do a favour for a friend and ask them to sign up in return. That way, you both can get a free iPhone!

Basic rules
Don't break these rules! This is the only reason that you won't get your free iPhone, so make sure you follow these rules!

- One account per household - don't use a public computer to sign up!
- Use real information - this is a proven legitimate site and they will not give out your information.
- Only complete each offer once! You cannot complete the same offer again, even for different freebies.
- Don't try to cheat the system. This site has been proven legitimate, and they will catch you if you try to cheat. If you do everything legitimately, by following this guide, you will get a free iPhone!

Thats all, just follow my guide and you will have your free iPhone in no time.

Thank you.

From start to finish this is far more than just an album of songs, its an amazing journey through the best possible music ever!

Listening to the album (on vinyl) it just doesnt seem possible that it first was released in 1973 as it still sounds so ahead of itself in time.

There will never be another album as good as this!

My personal favourite 'tracks' are Time and Brain Damage.

Much Of Everything Else In The Rock Genre
Review created: 07/05/07

2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

sounds superficial by comparison, once you've digested the entire contents of DSOTM. The quality of this Pink Floyd masterpiece (and not the only one) cannot be underestimated. Roger Water's lyrics hit you hard with his uncompromising thoughts on society's bad points and how it can often drive people mad or to despair. Consequently there is a strong emotional side to the words and music running throughout the album. Somehow it all seems even more poignant today then it was back in 1973.

'On The Run' depicts the vision of the human rat race superbly. 'Us And 'Them' does similar for the divisive effect of modern society. 'Money' illustrates how much of a slave we all become to the legal tender and consumerism. 'Brain Damage' uses Syd Barratt as an example (without naming him) of someone who couldn't cope with society's demands. One reference is to him playing a different song to the rest of the band while on stage.

Although some of the songs stand up on their own merit, DSOTM really has to be listened to as a whole entity to obtain the maximum benefit. The measure of true art is how well a work survives the test of time in appreciation. So many people in all different parts of the world appreciate DSOTM, and most, like myself believe that DSOTM is every bit as good now as it was then. It's certainly as relevant. So I reckon it qualifies as a work of art.

Essential listening.
