The Dark (DVD)

This is a good film with a few twists and turns. It is original in its story, sean Bean at his very best, effortless with his acting and gorgeous as ever! It is worth watching and will have you on the edge of your seat in places, and the ending, well you would not predict the ending. Well worth the watch.

Only decided to buy this film as i am collecting all sean bean films. I found this a very good supernatural thriller, the plot was excellent and a very good twist to the ending.

I have to say that I found the film to be gripping, well acted, very scary and atmospheric. The theme of a mother doing everything she can to bring her daughter back from the dead was compelling, especially considering the ultimate consequences! A treat for fans of horror thrillers.
I would highly recommend this film!

Great film, very chilling! Only saw a trailer to it on another DVD and decided to buy it. Good thriller

A muddled, confusing and very disappointing horror film from the director of the excellent Ginger Snaps. Mario Bello stars as a grieving Mother who meets a young girl who startlingly resembles her late daughter, Sarah. Bello chews the scenery every moment she is on screen and Sean Bean - who plays her equally depressed husband - simply looks uncomfortable in a phoned-in performance at best. The film tries very hard to be intriguing and original, but ends up wrapped in its own tangled web. Do not waste your time on this, buy a good ghost story such as The Innocents, The Haunting or The Others.

I bought this DVD mainly because I like this type of film and I also like Sean Bean. The film was quite dark in places and cd be frightening which is exactly what I hoped it would be. I had not heard of this film before and found it under Sean Bean films. I did not dislike anything about it.

This film is one of my favorites. Has an excellent storyline the acting is great! I'd give it a 7/10 for creepiness. Definitely be watching again!

I really enjoyed this film. I like horror films which are creepy, suggestive, atmospheric and keep me watching till the end. This delivered. It keeps you guessing, though you probably wouldn't guess the ending! great film

GRIPPING FILM WITH TENSE MOMENTS WHEN THE LITTLE DISAPPEARS AND THE MOTHER GOES TO FIND HER AND SHE DISAPPEARS UNDER THE WATER AND FINDS HERSELF IN THE SAME PLACE AS HER DAUGHTER BUT IN A DIFFERENT TIME

Nothing can prepare you for this ridiculous film. I bought it because it was so funny!!! No it's not meant to be funny, its a thriller/horror. The real horror is how Sean Bean agreed to do this movie. The dialogue is appalling. When the little girl pleads with Sean Bean to be her daddy. He coldly replies 'No I already have a daughter'. Who wrote that !!! The sheep are hysterically funny with their glowing eyes. The absolutely hysterical part of this movie. People jumping into the sea, knowing they would lose their lives, yet they took their suitcases!!!! If you want to see funny sheep, people jumping off cliffs, and terrible dialogue...this is a MUST SEE MOVIE FOR YOU!!!!! Oh one last word, the ending is quite good actually. The Welsh, who I love, will have been cringing with embarrassment at this movie !!! Poor Sheep, they didnt pay them enough to appear in this movie. PLEASE BUY IT !!!

i was delighted to find this film on ebay as i had been to the cinema to see it and thought it was great, it was in great condition when i recieved it and it was affordable to my low income. i was very happy on purchasing this item.
