Good if you are into DMX! or good summer listening if not, there are a few tracks that stand out, but nothing like "Party up" or " ruff riders anthem", all in all not a bad album as a big DMX fan myself!

) I decided to by this album as DMX is one of the realist rappers out there and to complete my collection of DMX albums. DMX in his own words explains the ups and downs of life, from good to evil, as DMX having being diagnosed with bipolar disease, explains his emotions and difficulties, through different times of his life and how hard life can be at times, through the very highs and to the deepest of lows . This album is X,s second which followed his first Its Dark and Hell is Hot which were released in the same year. Although I wouldn't consider this to be his best album, it contains some down to earth and up beat songs, and also his first track to hit the UK top 10 "Slippin" which I would consider to be one of his best tracks to date.

) DMX is the uncompromising rap hero of the moment. He barked his way to triple-platinum success with his first effort, It's Dark And Hell Is Hot. Unfortunately, this LP fails to capture the raw energy of Dark Man X, which was his stable foundation for It's Dark.
Tracks on Flesh seem to be weaker carbon copies of songs on his debut. Standout cuts include the soulful "Coming From" featuring Mary J. Blige, "Ain't No Way," and "The Omen," where he continues his dialogue with the evil side.
For an album put together rather quickly, Flesh isn't bad. But in order for it to be a stellar follow-up to It's Dark, more time and work are necessary.
My advise - If you havn't got it and like your DMX THE GREAT DEPRESSION is the CD i'd buy out of the two.
