The Cure - Greatest Hits (CD 2003)

Looking back to the days of 'The Cure', I'm not sure if the Lipstick and Make-up did them any favours!, a sad case of, great music shame about the presentation, it's therefore perhaps no accident that on the Album Cover of this Greatest Hits CD, Smithy (if it's him), is hiding his face with open hands, perhaps hoping for better sales; if fact there are no pictures of the band to found anywhere in the little booklet that comes with the CD.
And so I've Bought my first ever 'The Cure' Album and very enjoyable it is too!

Listening to this again makes me think - Robert Smith - where are you now? Please make songs like this again. The songs are in chronological order, but the old ones are still as fresh as the new. Some still send shivers down the spine as they did way back when I listened to them on vynal ( a round disk that held your music and had a cardboard sleeve with ace artwork on it).

I hope a new generation will discover this too - those into EMO and Marilyn Manson would like this - after all He did a cover of a Cure track a few years ago

Excellent CD, never really was a Cure fan in the earlier days but this has all the classics on that most will recognise. A must for the collection!

I absolutely love the Cure and when I saw this album listed I just had to buy it and boy it did not dissapoint. The album is brilliant, it has some of the best singles The Cure ever released and also some songs I had either forgotten they had recorded or I had never heard before. I particularly enjoyed the Acoustic versions of some of their classics and my Husband who was never really a fan of theirs even sings along to the ones he recognises and my 3 boys have even had a little dance around the room especially to Friday I'm in Love.

This is a great little collection of the cure. Not only the good older songs but some new unreleased stuff from recent years too. Got my two favourites on so i cant complain. Very funky, sometimes dark but we all need a little darkness now and again. Even if you dont havent really heard the cure before still get this coz its a great overview of their releases and its nice even just to have on in the background.

The best ever, once listened to you realise and remember all the great hits they did. A must for any fan, even only if you liked the one song.
