When Jimmy and his half Native American girlfriend Lily are murdered by a rampaging satanic cult led by Luc Crash and his demonic bride, he is traumatised to find himself reincarnated as 'The Crow', an immortal being of Native American folk law and the 'killer of killers'. With revenge burning in his broken heart, and whilst he tries to come to terms with his new dark powers, Jimmy comes to realise what he can do, and what he must do - as he confronts the onslaught of gang members Famine, Pestilence, War and Death in this epic action battle of good and extreme evil.

There is no rest without vengeance...

  The Crow Wicked Prayer

i decided to buy it as i am a fan of all the previous films, and this one helps me complete the set. I like the sense of a newer modernised crow ( Edward Furlong) and he plays the part well and makes the film more realistic and believable with his actions and emotions.
All in all it is a great film and i would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the film series.

  Very poor The Crow film.
Review created: 25/03/08

I am a huge The Crow fan and enjoy the comics, books and films.
This is a well below par Crow film (as is the City of Angels.)
Very low budget and wooden acting. Better to rent (if you can find it) than buying it. Still makes a great Coffee cup coaster.

  Boreanz was boring!
Review created: 01/06/07

If you took an appallingly overacting David Boreanz and just as appallingly wooden Tara Reid out of this movie it would've been SO much better.

I can only assume that both Reid and Boreanz were on drugs when they made this movie - Reid on sleeping pills as she constantly looked as if it was a huge effort just staying awake; and Boreanz on speed as he seemed unnaturally hyper all the way through the movie.

If his portrayal of the devil is even remotely true, then its no wonder evil always loses in the fight against good. This film had a reasonable storyline, if a little 'spaghetti western' in places.

I have all four movies and would have to say that one and three were the best of the series. This is a great shame as far as 'Wicked Prayer' goes as Edward Furlong was excellent as the doomed Jimmy Cuervo; his portrayal as the reluctant anti hero was very believable, and you really felt sympathy for his cursed existence.

Sadly the whole concept was destroyed by Boreanz. His over the top portrayal of Luc Crash (aka Death/Satan) was so ridiculous that it quickly became boring; don't watch this expecting either a supernatural version of Seeley Booth or a variation of Angel - it aint happening; all you actually get is a strange man who appears to be either trying (increasingly desperately I may add) to steal the film from Furlong (and failing miserably) or who is under the influence (of what I don't know, and frankly care even less).

If you love the crow films then this is worth a watch, if for no other reason than Furlong's portrayal of Cuervo. Don't watch it if you're a fan of Boreanz - this is NOT one of his better roles.

  The Crow: Wicked Prayer

This film is amazing eward furlong really portrays the dept and complex characteristics of the crow. Personally, i believe he is a better crow than bradon lee the original crow, he also stars with a wide range of brilliant actors/actresses such as david boreanaz and tara reed. Unfornately the plot of this movie and the script, basically let it down, it could have been a great film but it's not as good as the orginal crow film. i decided to buy this because edward furlong and david boreanaz are two of my favourite actors.

Once again we have right from the beginning a raw hard emotional storyline, with Edward Furlong supurbly cast in the lead role. He has certainly come of age as an actor, and hopefully leaves his demons of the past behind him.
He grasp the lead role with hunger and transform his character into a hard believable warrior hell bent on vengence. All in all an excellent film and a forceful follow up to its predecessors.
