The Crow (DVD 2003)

Now if you like cute fluffy little films probably peddled by disney then this is not for you. if you like edgy dark and gripping films packed with its own mythology and crackling with atmosphere then get this movie. i like the whole film, its gothic landscapes to the music are excellent and there is only one thing to dislike, and that is the star of the film was cruelly cut down just as things were looking promising for him. other than that don't bother with the sequels they were all poor and in the shadow of this considerable piece of work. on my list its in the top ten movies i've seen due to it being able to tap into the darker side of humanity without repelling you.

Excellent value for money as 2 versions of the film provided. Saw the film on video and basically graphics weren't up to much but as it was Brandon Lee's last film decided to purchase on DVD to keep for posterity. Would recommend this film to anyone.

all you would need for a quality action comic book film interpretation.

what a film, one of the greatest one in the series, infact id say its one of the greatest film ever....brandon lee R.I.P is masterful, he has so much charisma, etc etc, its such a shame he died/murdered during the shoot of this film, he would have been great in these kind of roles

Well The Crow, for me has everything I would like in a film. It has romance,action,tragedy,drama, and a bit of horror. But it's Brandon Lee's performance that really brings out the magic. Alex Proyas is a superb director, his first outing on a major film is just excellent.

For me personally it's just the whole feel and mood of the film, it's just something that captures you. The realism that is shown is something you can relate to in this day and age.

There are too many good elements of this film to name, the gun blazing sequence is just fabulous (especially the extended version on the bonus disc) the first fall from a roof top that Lee does, the shot was filmed perfect. The ways he takes revenge on all of the villains is brilliant. I could go on and on about this film. This film is something you'll have t experience yourself on.

Bad points: Absolutely nothing!!! Just the tragic death of Brandon Lee, the same can be said about Heath Ledgers performance in Dark Knight. If Lee was alive today this film would of made his name on the map!!! Father Bruce Lee would have been very proud!!! As am I!

I bought this movie to see what all the hype and cult following was about as recommended by my Brother and have to say by the time the movie had finished although it was a bit dark and gothic I was hooked and went sraight back onto ebay to buy 'Crow' memorabilia..I'm sure I'm not going mad but I have spotted crows everywhere ever since.. it was great and I would recommend it if your into either gothic cult stuff or comic book stuff..and by the way there was also some very profound sayings and lines in this movie..

Bought for my daughter and son-in-law
they have looked everywhere for it and I found it here on ebay for a very reasonable price
they loved it

This dark gothic revenge movie is one of the best cult movies ever, I saw this at the cinema on its release in the early 90's and it still looks good today as it did then.

awesome film. watch again and again. just amazing gothic love story with loads of vivid characters than yo really feel that you get toknow throug the film

The Crow is an awesome film. I bought the dvd as i think its about time i update from vhs and join the 21st century (plus, my video tape is beginning to wear out)!

I really love the film. I had it when it was first released on VHS but I've watched it so many times it's worn out.

i first saw this film when i was 19yrs old, being a young 'goth' it had everything i wanted in a film and the sound track was a huge plus too with the likes of THE CURE & NINE INCH NAILS to name a just a few!
now i'm a 34yr old mum of three and i still love THE CROW as much as i did all those fab years ago!!

Saw it at the cinema on it's release and have to say it still has the same impact today as it did back then. If only action/horror films today could have the same high level of thrills, acting and proudly beating heart I would be visiting the cinema a lot more often! Great stuff, all the more poignant for the loss of an actor, based on this role, who was about to become a major star.

good film and good actors but not too keen on the whole movie as there is so many crow films and when u see one you see them all

i've just started buying what i had on VHS on to DVD so i want to build up my collection. this is one i've been after for a while, andd i'm glad i got it.

I LIKED THIS FILM AS IT IS A MAN WHO COMES BACK FROM THE DEAD TO TAKE REVENGE ON THE PEOPLE WHO KILLED HIM AND RAPED AND KILLED HIS FIANCE, I DECIDID TO BUY IT AS IT IS ONE OF THE HORROR'S OUT.
