Great sound quality, but built by idiots
The basic task of a set of earphones is sound reproduction, and the EP630s are among the best I've ever owned in that regard. Why, then, have I given them one out of five? The reason is build quality. I have owned three sets of these earphones, and all of them ended up dead with the exact same flaw: one earphone ends up much quieter than the other. Someone more technical than me said that this is caused by the wire connection inside one earphone becoming loosed, frayed, eaten by a polar bear, and so on. As I say, all three sets I've owned (yes, I am a mug, but until recently there weren't any alternatives except the commonly-counterfeited CX300s) have developed the exact same fault (one after two days), and since they were purchased months/years apart from wildly different locations I think the law of averages suggests that rubbish build quality is to blame rather than pure bad luck on my part.
