Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Sound Card

Although the Creative labs Audigy 2ZS sound card is not now
being made anymore it is a brilliant sound card.

It is an internal PC1 card that fits into a PC1 slot so
before you buy one make sure that you do have a spare PC1
slot.

It supports 7.1 surround sound.

It also has on board internal and external firewire ports, so if you have a digital camcorder you can connect it to this sound card.

The 2ZS sound card also comes with a superb software package as well which is a piece of cake to install and will have everything up and running in no time.

It is Dolby Digital Ex and DTS-ES surround sound compatible and has 64 voice polyphonic facilities for MIDI.

There are also internal connections for 2 CD/DVD drives.

It is still available in a lot of online sites, so if you are looking for a really great sound card, try and get hold of one of these - it will blow your socks off!

If possible buy the OEM version as its the same as the full retail version but without the bells and whistles (additional software)

If you have children or even yourself play games on the computer this is really worth having.

Summary: A brilliant sound card which will be hard to beat
And a big improvement on the original Audigy and Audigy 2.

Beautiful sound, plenty of inputs and outputs. Very easy to install and configure. The outputs could have been coloured differently, but given the age of the cand, its mainly teething problems.

I have been using a SoundBlaster Live (Value) sound card since my friend built my very first PC (back in those days I was a HARDLINE Commadore AMIGA man and I saw no future in the PC - especially as a musician).
I have been using this same card for nearly ten years, having since converted to the PC way and learning how to build my own custom specific PC's to do what I actually need them to. So it was time to upgrade the sound.
I am still no Pro or by any means a technical genius but I noticed a difference in sound as soon as I had the new card installed. Once I had done the necessary upgrades (through the creative website . . . . very easy indeed)my XP did all the hard work and away I went. The sound was crystal clear and the quality difference is unmistakeable.
It's Not the most modern card or the most powerful but, for all those who are thinking of upgrading, I recommend this one. I have only just begun to mess with it but it is certainly worth the price I paid for it.

If you are a PC DJ or an audio enthusiast then this little sound card is for you. I use one to DJ from a laptop and the sound is awsome, far superior to the onboard sound found on laptops. If you can find one then buy it, just make sure you get the correct interface for your laptop, either PCMCIA or ExpressCard. A+++++++++++++++

I already have an Audigy 2 standard in another computer. I wanted a newer version but not an X-Fi as my computers don't do pci-e. This is an excellent card and makes it easy to choose either stereo 2 speaker or sound around 7.1. The software is also excellent and makes it easy to transfer, play and change music sounds. It is also easy to hook up to an amplifier.

THIS IS A VERY GOOD CARD TO BUY, WITH GOOD SOUNDS/WITH GOOD BASE. DRIVER ARE VERY EAST TO PUT IN COMPUTERS. WITH GOOD SOFTEWERE TOO.
