Zargaroli (background vocals)."Fill Me In" was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. "7 Days" was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Awards for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. The Southampton, England-born singer's US debut is a sultry foray into contemporary R&B, spanning the uptempo album-opening "Fill Me In," the sensuous "Rendezvous," and the pleading "Key to My Heart." Craig David has the sense to combine his pop leanings with his R&B roots, and the result is an irresistible mix of the sensual, the danceable, and the just plain catchy that recalls a millennial version of '80s UK R&B pretender Terence Trent Darby. David's background as a London radio DJ serves him well--the mix of songs is seamless, gliding by as smoothly as a summer boat ride down the River Thames, and his vocal gymnastics are similarly aurally pleasing. Craig David is arguably the latest in a long line of British R&B performers who interpret the form at least as well as, if not better than, their US counterparts.
