Con Air (DVD 2001)

Cameron Poe (Cage) is reaching the end of a lengthy stretch having murdered a man to defend his pregnant wife. Before they can be reunited he must make a trip on a plane full of America's most nasty criminals. When they get out of hand, the only way Poe can be sure of seeing his family again is by thwarting their planned escape. As if Malkovich's Cyrus ‘The Virus' Grissom was not enough to contend with, US Marshall Vince Larkin (Cusack) must fight a running battle with Duncan Malloy (Meaney) on the ground to stop him blowing the plane to pieces.

The 'tearful wife' bits are mercifully short, and you have no time to mourn the loss of meaning and substance when watching a plane crash-land in the heart of Vegas.

A well funded and action packed film that will entertain you for it,s duration . Just so long as you leave your brain at home. The story is original but the characters are exceptionally bad with terrible acting and extremely far fetched cons and cops as thick as the proverbial plank of wood. As i said its entertaining and for that and the extraordinary amount of money thay spent on this film its rated as average to good . This film belongs to the pumped up male ego of the eighties with all arnies , dolphs , and van damns stuff . I can,t act but i can act macho and pretend to fight stuff.You want good acting with the violent stuff watch a history of violence ,far superior to this feel good happy ending sh*t.
