Con Air (DVD 2001)

One of our favourite sayings in our house is from this film, "Put the bunny back in the box"!
Constant action, edge of your seat kind of thrills!
Nicolas Cage is brilliant in this film. There are also quite a few comedy moments. 10/10

This has everything you could wish for from an action film. It has Nick Cage being broody but kind while beating up the bad guys. It has John Malkovich as an evil genius. It has lots of big set piece scenes in which things explode. It has very sharp dialogue and a decent soundtrack. Overall, it's mindless but it's real fun and I recommend it thoroughly

the first time I watched this film it was on recommendation from a friend and I must be honest I just didnt get it.
The film didnt seem to know if it was a romance, action, drama or comedy! I reported back and was told to watch it with a slightly tongue in cheek approach and with the view that it was rather taking the mick out of many similar action films.
I watched it again and loved it!

The plot is basically that Nicholas Cage is put away for a while and on the day of him walking free the poor man gets mixed up with a plane hijacking plot by other inmates who are transferring on the same plane from prison to prison.

Can Nicholas cage save the day!

There are some superb characters in the film, which although you know you should hate them for their wrong doings you just cant bring yourself to!

If you are a nicholas cage fan you will love this film as its cage at his best, if you hate him, dont bother, you wont get it at all!

you think your having a bad day? think again! nicholas cage is finally released after a long sentence in jail for accidently killing a guy that was harassing his wife, only for the plane he was being sent home on, to be high jacked by john malcovich with a team of hardend crimanals behind him who all have thier own alterior motive for obeying him and ready to stab him in the back at any time! add in a few crazies i.e steve buschemi the crazy, a proud mexican rapist, a black militant fighter and a dying man, all in theme to Lynrd Skynrd's Sweet Home Alabama and an explosive finish in Las Vegas, you have the plot for a very clever yet heart rendering story of true love, explosions, injustice, backstabbers and high jacking. Very good acting from John Malcovich and Nic Cage. this film is a classic!

Con Air is brilliant, I would expect nothing less from Nick, and it’s got plenty of action, big explosions, one-liners and pure entertainment value. The plot is really emotional too, good guy wrong place, wrong time, fast-paced. The acting is great with Nick; he really pulls you in to his characters. The characters are well-written and believable too.

As a fan of Nick, I have a video collection that I am slowly replacing with DVD's so when I found this one, it was to tempting to resist, great ebayer too very fast delivery, not expensive and now I am personally chuffed to bits.

NB~: If you like these types of films, a similar story line, Watch "Felon" 2008 with Stephen Dorff, acting was brilliant, emotional and could happen to any one of us.

this film grabs you from the very starrt and doesn't let go to the very end. My freind recommended this film as she knows I am a big fan of Nicolas Cage and John Malkovich, so I looked it up on Youtube and I thought it looked great as I only looked at the ending. So I thought I might just have a bid on Ebay as I don't really buy that much off of the site. And what do you know I won it. So as soon as I got it I watched it and it was absolutly great. I loved all the comedy parts, the romance and especially all the action sequences. I even enjoyed the sad moments when you think that Cameron (Cage) isn't going to make it, and that he won't ever see his daughter again.
My favourite part is when Billy Bedlam looks through Cameron's stuff and finds his parole letter, and the bunny he bought for his daughters birthday. He says to Billy 'Put the bunny back in the box'. Billy doesn't so they have this fight and Billy falls into this pipe that was sticking out and he dies, Cameron turns around and says ;Why couldn't you put the bunny back in the box'. It was just so hilarious. I have watched it twice now and it still doesn't bore me. I love the fact that there is no messing about and that every characters background is explained. I also loved all the comebacks. Like when Billy Bedlam asks Cyrus the Virus is he's insane, he replys by saying 'According to my last psych report. Yes'. The whole film is a great rollercoaste ride for beginging to end.
I bought this off of Ebay as it is cheaper and quicker than buying it in shops most of the time.

Explosive blockbuster...in the sky! Con Air is absolutely, positively sheer enjoyment for any die-hard fan of action-adventure films! Definately 5 stars for this one hit wonder with an outstanding performance from wonderful actors, John Malkovich, Nicholas Cage & John Cusack!!!

This was a film i had to have in my dvd collection, its action packed and keeps you in suspense right till the end. Great special affects and even a bit of romance for the ladies.........pick up a copy on ebay for under £3.00 as i did and you will really enjoy this movie!

i love this film, it made me cry, and so does my husband as when im upset he gets his leg over (wondered why we watched it several times a week).

Its one of those feel good movies and even though the ending was what you wanted to happen you cant help but well up with tears.

Nic cage has it all in this movie and one of the best performances a actor could ever act out, What a brilliant movie, get ready to add this to your collection and watch over and over again.

an all time classic with big names included. fast moving from the start and throughout the entire film! explosive ending that makes you want to watch it again and again.

A superb film with a great plot with loads of action in it. What more can you ask for? Buy it and watch over and over.

this is one of my all time favourite films. i'm a big fan of Nicholas Cage and alot of the other actors in the film as well.
i bought this DVD because i only had it on video. Glad i did, the extras are pretty cool.

I decided to buy this film as I'd seen the start of it on TV but not the end and wanted to know what had happened. It's a brilliant film, Nicholas Cage as the ex-con who only wants to get home to his family and the lengths he will go to to do this make for an excellent film

The DVD I received is perfect, exactly what I wanted and the DVD disk, case and cover are all in 100% great condition. The price was reasonable and so was the P&P charge. The delivery was very fast and secure. A great eBay seller, defiantly recommended by me and I will use again if they have what I want.

I first saw Con Air on TV a few years ago. It was then on during October 2007, and I thought - "I must have that!!" So then I searched on eBay for it.
From beginning to end, Con Air is one of the most action-packed adventures that I have ever seen. Great to watch frequently - one film I will not tire of seeing! Nicholas Cage, John Malkovich and John Cusack do their part to make this film as unique as it was, when it was released. A must see!! As usual, Cage uses his acting and comedy skills to keep us on the edge of our seats!
